We found this spot via Facebook when someone asked about who has the best best tamales. I went Thursday and bought a dozen uncooked frozen to bring home for Christmas day. Just finished them, and they are absolutely the best I've had, and I'm from So. Cal. I've had great tamales before, but these are the bomb! Cooked them in the oven at 350 for 70 minutes (from frozen), and they were perfect. A+ to Carniceria MI Terra.

THIS is the local butcher shop you were looking for. It’s not just a meat market like almost all of the rest. This is the real deal. You want a whole pig? A special cut? We’ve looked EVERYWHERE trying to find pork with the skin on and it turn out that the big distributors sell the skins to the football factories because they pay more! Well…my search finally came to a happy ending when I found Mi Tierra (my land). The store is well set up and their meat selection is great! At least for beef, pork and chicken. They do not sell alcohol, but they have a good selection of items and half of the store is an actual restaurant. The place looks clean and the prices are reasonable. Come get your piggy!

We love coming to Mi Tierra for the food, and the service is quite good. The staff are very quick and nice when serving your dishes. The only thing that's a bit off is having to order at the front of the kitchen and paying at the front register. The carnicería is pretty great and fresh.

The food is excellent! Wow this is definitely a hidden gem!The service was good and they were very accommodating. More like you are family. If you wanted a beer, you just go over to the refrigerator and get one. They just look at your table and that's how they charge you...whatever is on it...they put it on your bill. Very informal seating...but we didn't care. This also a little grocery store!

So disappointed their hours online and on their door says they are open until 8 pm but when we got there around 7pm they were cleaning up.
Love this place....authentic Mexico fare in every way! Worth the drive from Boise if you want homemade traditional dish's like a Mexican grandma would cook!

Had a 20$ bill accused that it was fake when even the guy in the meat station said it was real, said she had to call the cops, I waited then she said I could leave and they would get back to me have her my phone # and they never did. One day I showed up and they said “oh it’s real, forgot to call you lol:)” like ????? Very poor way to treat someone who has been here for years and consistently!!
