I look forward every year to picking up my picking up my tamales... but this year I showed up and noticed no line. Then the clerk informed me that my two dozen tamales and a medium chocolate was $74!! Also, the jalapeno tamales were mushy. The pork ones were great but not for $3 each!

I’ve been here a couple times the bread is good cakes are nice but the lady who I think is the owner has HORRIBLE customer service. I understand bakers get busy but if I order and get a time to pick up and I get there and 30 minutes later it’s not ready and the lady yells at us that it’ll be ready when it’s ready is not ok. Learn how to run a business and know how to speak to your customers at this rate you’ll go out of business quick. The baker did come out and apologized.

I ordered a tres leches cake on Monday to be ready at 10 AM today (Saturday) for my daughter’s graduation party. I got there at 10 AM on the dot expecting it to be ready because I was told that it would be ready by then—it was not—they hadn’t even started decorating it. I was on a time crunch as I had people coming to my house and had someone headed to the airport that I needed to see before they left, AND I live 45 minutes away from their bakery. When you say you’ll have a product ready by a certain time then it should be— especially if it is ordered in advance. My sister asked the lady to check on the status of the cake after we had waited 15 minutes explaining we had to go, and the lady was VERY rude and snapped at her and refused to go check on the cake. She told us we could cancel the order instead—very poor customer service when this was their fault. When I went to pay for the cake, I asked for a discount because we waited over a half hour past the time they said it would be available for pick up before they got me my cake and was told no and that I could just cancel my order—even though again it WAS THEIR FAULT. And the fact that she clearly showed that she didn’t care that she made us late by shrugging her shoulders at us when I told her made it worse!! Then she had the audacity on my sisters review against them to say that I said it was fine and all was well—THAT IS NOT WHAT I SAID!!! What I said is that “fine I would take the cake” because where else am I going to get a large Tres leches cake like that last minute? NEVER did I say I was okay with all of this and satisfied with my experience. At the end my exact words were “it is what it is” because I obviously had no other options at that point. And……to top it off the cake was NOT good at all—it had areas that were very salty like the cake batter had not been mixed well. And the whipped cream on it tasted stale and strange. All in all this entire experience was very disappointing especially since we have bought breads from them many times and it was never like this so I honestly expected much better from them today. But after today’s experience we will probably be driving the extra 20 minutes to go to La Esperanza in Nampa from now on.

Oreo concha? Who would've thought of that? It doesn't taste straight up like oreo. Just hints of it. Overall, conchas tasted great, and they were fresh too, but a little too dense for me. I've tasted lighter ones. Cuernito was excellent. Biscuit tasted as it should, but it just crumbled easily on me. Tamales were amoizing, and they're big too. I was able to recreate part of my childhood by putting it inside a bolillo, so satisfying and left me full. And last but not least, their coffee tasted great, but uhh, can I get a lid for next time? I could've asked, but I had to go.So I don't care who you are, where you're from, or what you did as long as you try this place out.See ya next time, pipol!!!If you're a trucker, you're in luck bc it's right next to Walmart, and so there's is some parking for us.

The bread is good but they make very little, it is never made even if it is early.

Little piece of heaven here. Grabbed a tamale a little before lunch. Great buy for $3 in the store they're at least $2 more for what's mostly corn. Saw some great pastries too. I'll definitely come back since I work in town.

My mother and I found this place on a whim. Excellent customer service and friendly help. The food was AMAZING! Especially the tamale! Sad that we live out of state and can't become regular customers. Will definitely be back next time we are in the Caldwell area. 10/10!!

We have been going here for years, we bought some tamales and it tasted like the bottom of the pot was burnt from no water and left a bad flavor. When we went to take them back, the owner told my wife to go into the back with her and proceeded to eat the tamales and insinuate that she was lying. We will drive the couple extra miles to go to the original owners from now on. The fact that she couldn’t admit an honest mistake and accuse customers of lying shows me all that I need to know with these guys.

Be careful, they overcharge you and don't give receipts. Otherwise have came here for Years.
