My go-to is a lengua burrito and Mario's does a phenomenal job at executing this! The texture and flavor are on point and the portions are fair for the cost.
I have also tried a lengua sope which was good as well but not my go-to.
The birria was your typical birria for the area, hits the spot on a cool day!
The Horchata and Jamaica are a must-have, I am biased as I love these but they continue to maintain the same flavor I have come to love and expect.
The torta is also a delicious item, one of my favorites for lunch!
There isn't much seating in the area but it is close enough to Indian creek and other parks that walking somewhere to eat is an option.
Highly recommended!

We tried the asada burrito and asada torta. Quality of beef was great but had no flavor, not even salt and I don’t like a lot of salt on my food. Rice was like mashed potatoes in texture seemed very overcooked, also no flavor. Torta bread wasn't fresh. I asked twice for lime and there were none in the bag when I got home; luckily I found one at home so I’m not docking them on service, they were nice. Red salsa is delicious. Horchata wasn’t great - it was plain and seemed like it was from a packet, I wouldn't order it again.

Well I hate doing reviews like this but it is what it is. I went here based off some good reviews and was excited to try the birria tacos. Unfortunately they were just ok. Very bland, the consomme didn't even taste like traditional birria consomme. I wanted to love em but instead only had one of the three and gave the other two away. 2 stars on the tacos but the service was good so there you go.

The agua de Jamaica is very delicious! But the quesabirria consome was a bit salty. The asada tacos were good.

Love the food and service! Why does 3 quesa birria tacos cost 16 but to add one taco the total is 22??? Please make this make sense. To add a taco should NOT be $6. That's a money grab. Still 5/5 tho.

I'm gonna say it, and I don't care who it upsets:
This place is it.
The best tasting Mexican food in the downtown area. Hands down, no contest.
Despite being a food trailer, it puts EVERY sit down mexican restaurant in the city of Caldwell to SHAME and for only a FRACTION of the cost!
Best tasting carnitas sope I've had from any Mexican establishment. They are generous with the toppings and make sure you get what you pay for.
The asada tacos tasted excellent. Meat was tender and not overcooked or hard. The presentation was lovely with the cooked jalapeño and sliced onions and limon.
No complaints, solid taco.
The chicken burrito, solid size.
Shredded chicken, it was tender, but not greasy. Their beans and rice pair really well, and those alone stand out. I'd eat a place of rice and beans alone. That's how good they were. But all together with the burrito! Worth it! And only $8! Talk about a deal in today's economy!
The sauces:
The red: gives you the spicy bite you want without sacrificing flavor.
The tomatillo green sauce adds flavor and zest. No spice to it.
The real winner is their creamy green salsa, which I suspect to be a mix of avacado/sour cream/cilantro and potentially lime.
Really seals the deal and brings every bite you take together.
You may have to wait for the food. But there is a reason why everyone comes here and waits.
It's worth the wait.
The staff are polite and earnest.
Truly a great experience and easy on the pockets!
Forget the rest. Check out Mario's tacos!
