Root's is a smoking bar. Their food is pretty good and cheap! Bartenders are super nice and they have daily stuff! Mondays are 5$ dinner, it changes weekly. Tuesday's are taco Tuesdays and taco's in the pic are 1$ each! Wednesday is bingo, Thursday is karaoke! Happy hour is 5-6 and drafts and liquor drinks are bogo if they are under 6$ (which most are)!

Went in to meet up with a friend, and it was a very quiet mellow place for a Monday. Drinks are good and have a very good price of $3 beers. They have pool tables and game machines. It's Caldwell, so they do smoke inside. Other than that, it's not bad. They have a jukebox, so I was able to play my music.

Decided to drop in and try this place out after driving by a couple of times. Food did not disappoint! Wings were extra crispy and delicious and the burgers....no frozen patties here, hand formed, sky high and delicious. The service was a tad slow, but everyone was very nice. Smoking and pets are allowed, which we didn't mind at all and my husband was happy to have a beer and cigar after his meal. Small town vibe, great food, and will definitely be back!

Updated 1-10-23As always I feel it necessary to update my review as necessary.I want to say kudos to Roots owner shelli, she has made huge strides updating roots And it absolutely shows. She pumps out great food from a clean updated kitchen and serves some of the best drinks in town at an excellent price!I look forward to experiencing her newest endeavor that's currently in the works, a high end tequila bar that will be situated in the front of the building and adjacent to roots entryway.I like a little dive bar just as much as the next guy, but the one thing I have a hard time with is a smoke filled dive bar.Im all for people doing as they choose and smoking a cigarette while enjoying their drink, but this place has extremely poor ventilation if any at all, which makes for a very unpleasant time of you're a non smoker trying to have a beer.On the plus side, you won't have a hard time meeting friendly people. Be it the bartender or a local hiding from the Mr. or Mrs. while having a cold one & a smoke.

I have yet to find a burger that I don't like here. I'm trying them all. if you're the adventurous type they have a burger with peanut butter and jelly! There is smoking in the bar, which is the only downside, so far. Fun people and great food!
