We ordered the prime rib med rare, unfortunately it was far from med rare totally no pink in site on both plates but we were so hungry and was extited to just eat.. just very disappointed for 35 bucks a plate for something that didn't even look like a prime rib.. the waitress was super nice, place was cool maybe get a hamburger.. I'll never go back for prim rib..

The breakfast burrito I got was really good and the gal helping me was very friendly. Nice rustic but clean little place to stop.

Don't get the fish tough, onion rings good
We placed an order about 15 mins away. Burgers and milkshakes were ready just as we arrived. Above average burger and tots. Fries and milkshake was amazing. Staff was really friendly and helpful. There is also a little convenience store inside for other road trip or rafting trip snack staples. Lots of parking and right on the freeway.

Awesome spot after floating the river!! My husband has a food allergy and they were fantastic at handling it. Definitely a must stop when in the area

We were in yesterday. Service was a bit slow, but they were busy, no big deal, we weren’t in a hurry. Both ladies working were very nice, chatting with everyone.
My one star is because everything had a nasty aftertaste. The worst was our cokes, we didn’t get to drink them.
Everything tasted like it had a penny mixed in.
Unfortunate really, I wanted to love it, the building is adorable, but we won’t be back for a meal.

After a long day of sun and rafting, Cougar Mountain Lodge was the perfect place to refuel with delicious food. I was so hungry I forgot to take photos, but I had the Big Todd burger, and it was absolutely delicious—cooked to perfection. A red beer complemented the meal perfectly, making it an ideal way to end the trip. The staff were super friendly, and despite everything being freshly prepared, the wait for the food wasn’t too long. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy a great meal after a day of adventure!
Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu! Great environment.

We stopped in after camping and it was amazing. Its a small restaurant and convenience store, mom and pop feel. Everyone was very friendly. We got our food very quickly. Burgers were large and delicious! We also got fried zuchini which were incredible! We got bloody marys and they were good. The huckleberry milkshake was tasty, it does not have whole huckleberries but it is still delicious. Pricing was reasonable. They also have quite a bit of indoor seating that looked nice but we opted to sit out on the deck with views of the mountain and river. There was also seating in the grass as well at a picnic table. Lots of good options. I would highly recommend stopping for a meal or at least a shake on the way to and from the mountains! We definately will be back! There is also lots of parking for RVs and boats!

We unfortunately found ourselves here after our car threw a belt and we had to wait for a ride back down to Boise, not only did the ladies here allow us to use the phone to make a few calls they provided us with delicious breakfast and from what we saw the lunch looked great too! Make sure to stop by on your way to or from McCall / Cascade and give them a try.
