Best bread in CDA - no question. They recently started serving soft pretzel baguettes that are AWESOME, but everything is really great.

10/10 food, everyone I bring here loves it. Good music, small seating area that's good for a casual sit down or to catch up on work.

I adore Back Pocket Bakery! The environment is so welcoming and kid-friendly. Of course, their baked goods are always fresh and therefore delicious. Everyone who works there has been extremely kind and helpful.

Finally found a proper pizza. This is by far the best place to get a Neapolitan’s style pizza in Coeur d’Alene (and I’ve tried all of them. My Italian blood is very happy and we will be coming here anytime we want pizza. Only downside is they close at 6!Well done to this bakery?

Took me 10 years to find this place. Ive had some of the best. Worked in San Rafael in 70s and 80. Bogdanovites was walkin and get it hot. Parisians could be found in most grocery stores. Here , I tried several claiming to be..........Well, lets just say I gave up. A nieghbor points me here a few weeks ago..............TOUCHDOWN. This place is "stand alone", Top Shelf. Cant say enough. The crust , chewy and just the right bite. Absolutely next level.

While downtown I wanted a sandwich at a new place. I looked up and found Back Pocket Bakery. I couldn't find it at first but was surprised to see that it was right next to the bike shop that I frequent but had never noticed it. The place looks nice and homey, though devoid of plants which usually adds to homeyness. I was on the phone when I ordered but the kind server was very perceptive and interpreted my pointing and hand motions quite well. I ordered The Deli despite thinking $16 was too much for a sandwich. When the sandwich came to my table, I was quite surprised to see how hardy it was. It had a lot of ingredients, was big and I could only eat half. It's a perfect sandwich to share. It was delicious. The bread was oh so fresh and delicious perfectly complimenting the meat veggies and sauce inside. I'll definitely order it again. Finding the bathroom is a trip as the diner walks through a mini kitchen, not in use by the staff, before finding it. My biggest wish for this place is that they would offer a half size sandwich for when it's only you and you have only $10 in your pocket or looking for something on a budget. The server was very friendly and seemed happy to grab a to-go box for me. My son enjoyed the second half at home and wants to go there as well. A solid place to eat! I'll be back.

Really, really excellent rye bread products, and nice made bagels, too. We visited them at the Kootenai Farmer's Market, and they were getting creamed by the crowd. We will definitely go to their brick & mortar to see their full offerings. It's great to see more fresh baked, artisan, baked products in the Cd'A area. We visit a lot...

I don't want to say that crust makes the loaf, but I totally agree with another reviewer that they have mastered a firm crust that you can actually use your bread knife to cut through. Beyond that, the flavors of their rye breads are incredible! We got two different ones, and they were both distinctly different in texture and density, yet made a wonderful sandwich base. We visited them at the Kootenai farmers market, and they had a line that stretched for 30 yards. I asked a nice lady in front of me what I should look for, and she told me what ever they had left lol!

Best fresh baked Sourdough in area!! What a find out first trip to CDA. If you are a knowledgeable fresh sourdough bread consumer you know how challenging it is to find a baker who specializes in the art of making sourdough bread. It takes a true professional and high skill level to make REAL sourdough bread. George and his team are the bomb! The sandwich was exceptional and the 2 different loaves we bought are off the charts! You are so lucky CDA! We can wait to go back for more!
