Bakery by the Lake makes all things from scratch. If possible Im hoping they would let me know their chocolate chip muffin recipe. I had this with a cappuccino it came warmed up in a tall parchment cup. The chocolate is from a bar and the texture of the muffin and sweetness is perfect. It was the best muffin I've ever had!!!

We go here at least 4 days a week. Amazing bakery items, love the scones, the eclairs and the cresents, good hot coffee, but the coffee cake is to die for. Go experience it.
Wow this place has it all and I mean all. The first thing that hit me as we drive by was the smell of freshly baked goods, talk about drooling! Next was the visual simulation of the food. Not just the food in display but what people were eating lol. Also what an amazing view to eat breakfast to. The food was beyond delicious,it was heavenly! The price was even better. This is a must enjoy type of place, don't hesitate!

Utterly mediocre and inoffensive, almond croissant wasn't very good at all and coffee was coffee - there's no way I'd come back here when there are plenty of more interesting places in CdA.

My husband and I popped in for lunch after a walk on Tubbs Hill on an unseasonably warm February day. We were happy to find this place because we had our dog with us and needed somewhere with tables outside. What a find! The food was fresh and delicious. Hubs had a spicy Italian panini, and I had a grilled cheese on wheat and cup of vegetable soup. The breads on both the sandwiches were excellent. My grilled cheese was loaded with stringy cheese and the Italian had the right blend of meat, cheese and dressings. We want to go back and buy some of the bread to take home, and also try their pastries. Service can be a little slow because the kitchen is small and the bakery is popular, but when your view is of Tubbs Hill, McKuen Park and the lake, who cares?

Kitchen is disgusting. Look at the tiles above where they’re prepping food. Good is meh.

Surely the best sticky buns in the world are made here. The coffee is also superb, indeed the best in town. They also make the best pizza in town on Fridays and Saturdays. I also like their unapologetic declarations that their bread contains gluten (then again, I tend to like anything that flouts today's trendy herd mentality, pitiful fragility, and shameless race to the bottom.)This place is popular with locals, but because it's a bit off the main tourist area, it's less known by tourists.A great thing: not once did I ever wear a mask here during 2020. I saw few others doing so either. This establishment was assuredly against the mass madness of the time. Bravo! On this basis alone they won my business. The one area for improvement concerns certain of their young employees, who are a bit surly and barely look one in the eye. I've been coming here for years, but with barely an acknowledgement from these types. Such behavior, of course, reflects the degenerate race to the bottom across all sectors of today's "culture," so I don't strongly hold this against the owners. And of course being surly is virtually de rigueur for a barrista. I should know; I used to be one of them.Dietary restrictions: As mentioned, they're resolutely pro-gluten. This defiance of today's fashionable anti-gluten orthodoxy is most refreshing to sound minds.
This is a great place for coffee and baked goods! We often walk or bike here when visiting the area. Amazing views of the lake. My favorite is the ham and cheese croissant! Yummy

Overall this is a really nice bakery. Great location! Very friendly service and fast (considering how long the line can get). I really like their house made nut butters! Almond croissant is delicious!
Good sandwiches and great carrot cake! Get yo self a sweet thing here??.

Just ok coffee, but delicious pastries.

Favorite coffee shop in downtown CDA. They have multiple comfy couches you can sit in and sip on your coffee- super relaxing.

My favorite place to stop and get a treat and an coffee, or an iced tea. Great outside in the summer and cozy in the winter. Their lunches are really good too!

This was a great, light, lunch stop in CDA. Staff was friendly, indoor and outdoor seating options.
