Amazing food and beer
Place is cute and has a cool menu. Was very excited to try it even though some friends told me they had a very poor service experience there recently. Got there on a Saturday night with a party at 4 and the place wasn't very busy so we had high hopes that we would get good service. We sat down and had a server come over and bring menus. And that was the last we saw of our server. There were two other parties in the restaurant and there appeared to be two front of house employees. We were not offered waters and she never came over and checked to see if we'd like to order. We sat there for approximately 10 minutes and
we could see her but she wasn't making any motions towards coming our way. We saw her eating something and we saw her in the vicinity of the kitchen. Just never saw her come towards us so we left and went next door to Fire and had a great experience. Sadly, we won't be back. To reinforce my review, business responded 11 months after I made the review!

The service is always great here. Unfortunately, every time we go here the food gets cheaper and worse. Definitely not worth the money unless you just want to drink beer and eat subpar food.

I absolutely loved this little hole in the wall restaurant. The Rueben was so so good and the string fries were perfectly sized to have a good balance of soft potato and crunch. I could probably eat their fries everyday 🤣 I’m not much of a beer person but they had a fruit beer (I think strawberry) that was actually really good dislike my aversion to beer. The staff were really nice and helpful when it came to their German beer knowledge. One of my favorite places for Rueben’s now as well

Our lunch server was so cheerful and friendly - she definitely made our day! We split a schnitzel entree for lunch and others in our group had the bratwurst special. Plenty of food, great atmosphere and outstanding service!

Not Authentic German food. Was NOT true German potato salad, sauerkraut was brought out cold, the red cabbage was not authentic sweet and sour red cabbage with apples, it was so much vinegar and I did not find any apples in it and it was also cold, the schnitzel appeared to be deep fried rather than pan fried and was NOT the delicious authentic breading. I know good German food and this was not good or authentic. So sorry.. I wish them well, but. I hope they find a good German cook.

This was such a fantastic spot for date night! Loved the atmosphere and the authentic German and Austrian food. The schnitzel is absolutely fantastic, and the Reuben sandwich was the best my husband had ever eaten! Great beer selection, my husband ended up purchasing a few cans for home. Brent, the general manager, was so welcoming and provided excellent customer service.

I love this restaurant! They serve authentic, scratch made German cuisine that I have yet to find elsewhere. The staff is incredibly kind and easy to converse with. The atmosphere feels authentic and it's the kind of place that makes you want to try new things and meet new people. The Bier Garten is pet friendly and there are usually families enjoying time together at the bigger booths. Sherman Avenue has many great spots, but Bier Haus is at the top of my list!

The three of us had schnitzel Jaeger schnitzel and the fish and chips. None of us finished our plates not because there was too much food which there was but because some of it was not enjoyable to eat. The red cabbage was mushy and bitter. And the mushroom sauce tasted like it came from Campbell's soup can. And the other person did not finish their fish either but would not comment. It's not that they were busy we came in at 6:00 on a Sunday there was only one other group eating dinner and when we left there was no one else there. For a place that got high marks I won't Go back.
