I enjoyed a delicious Chai with a splash of eggnog at the Cuppa Colombian in Coeur d’Alene yesterday. It was their special and I have to say it wasn’t too sweet and brought the wintery/holiday/cozy vibe I needed for late November. Our server (and maybe owner??) was attentive and accommodating while I had an hour+ visit with my cousin. This is a great place to meet up for a chat!!!

I wanted to really love this place based on the reviews, and I’m not inclined to leave reviews with less than four stars, but I have to say - the food I had was absolutely terrible.

I asked if there was some kind of breakfast sandwich and I was told that they could offer one with an English muffin, sausage, egg, and cheese. Sounds great to me! When I sat down, I noticed the barista was spending a lot of time at the microwave and I realized that my sandwich was being microwaved. I thought “let me give it a try, maybe it’ll be ok.” No. It wasn’t. Everything about that sandwich was bad - the bread was soggy, the egg and sausage tasted and felt like rubber. But I was so hungry that I just ate it.

I also watched the barista heat up a breakfast burrito in the microwave and realized that’s truly all they have to heat up food with.

To the owner, a microwave is never a sound option to “cook” anything in as a restaurant, cafe, etc. Truly, McDonald’s is a better option for breakfast, and I don’t mean that to be insulting because McD’s has a solid breakfast. If an oven of some kind is not an option, maybe focus on what you can do really well! The pastries looked great and the coffee was good but it was so overshadowed by that awful sandwich.

You'll get the best breve you've ever had in your life here.
Do yourself a favor, go here on Sunday and try a breve with a little bit of vanilla- I hope you'll love it just as much as I do!

The women serving us was incredibly rude, and basically threw our food down because she didn’t know where to put it. I will not be back, and it was a terrible first impression. I don’t usually leave a review but she was so rude that I had too.

No contest!! Best coffee shop in CDA. I bring family, friends, clients and colleagues here as often as possible. Such a great atmosphere and amazing food. I love the oatmeal…you can select from a wide variety of toppings…and the hot Mexican Mocha is my go-to beverage. Yum!! And if you are lucky you just might catch the amazing A-Train band here as well!

This is a cute Place tucked away in a corner so you have to look for it. There are many different types of drinks available and food options. Unfortunately, the only gluten-free item is a pumpkin bar that they regularly run out of very early in the morning. They do have Puck bars but that's not appealing.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pumpkin bar but you have to get there early or they don't have it. I wish they would sell more gluten-free snacks as well as keto options

Nice and cozy little place... To visit with a friend and have a delicious cup of coffee. I had the oatmeal and it was to die for. Large potion and reasonably priced.
