@ The Owners/Managers of Gelato by the Lake - Today was Mother's Day. At around 6:15 PM, there was a line out the door. There was ONE gal working. This sweet, hardworking individual was named Dillan (apologies if the spelling is incorrect). She was wonderful. Anyone who has worked in the food/customer service industry knows that going through a rush alone or short staffed is not an easy task. This girl paced herself beautifully and took each customer one at a time. That kind of work ethic is extremely hard to find. This business probably made more in sales today saving on labor costs, but unecessarily (and rudely) stressed one girl out to the max. Instead, for the future, invest in her and the staff - if there is a busy season is coming - prepare for it and staff those days correctly and appropriately. Juneteeth, Father's Day, and the summer season is coming up, I'm positive that will all be busy. Also a lot of missed profit happened today because customers didn't want to wait in line (no fault to Dillan, she was, again, working extremely hard). Dillan deserves some form of monetary recognition. She worked very hard today for this business. For Dillan, if you ever see this and read it, I'm sorry your evening was rough. You really should be proud of yourself, through and through. I hope you still had time today to spend with your family.

4.12.26: It was my first time in and wanted to spread the love to this local spot after having sushi next door, plus I love trying new places. The shop was small and cute and free of clutter. The female employee who helped us was very nice and kept her smile even when a line suddenly formed behind us.
Though I was stuffed from dinner, they had some of my favorite flavors that I wanted to try. I only planned on one scoop, but my sweet tooth had other plans. I narrowed my choices down to three and ultimately went with a scoop of lemon bar and raspberry cheesecake that was freshly brought out.
Both flavors were all that I had hoped for! I'm so coming back to try cupcake and hope it's not a seasonal flavor lol. To me, gelato is a bit heavier and thicker, which isn't a bad thing and now it makes sense a scoop tends to look smaller than a regular scoop. Next time, I'll be back for cupcake!

This was the perfect spot for an after dinner treat. All of the gelato is absolutely packed with flavor and has the perfect sweetness. We were very easily swayed into taking not just a couple of scoops with us, but a couple pints! Excellent customer service and the best gelato we've ever had!
