Do you remember the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld, Hudson's can feel a little like that but in a good, funny way. Hudson's is a tiny, no frills, 5th generation icon of Coeur d'Alene. I don't think they've changed much if anything since starting in 1907. Basic, good hamburgers (straight up bun, patty, cheese, onion and tomato), selection of sodas, and pie. No fries, no nuevo-foody-twists, just the basics and its always packed!

Gets VERY busy around 11am as the start of the lunch rush. Come a little bit earlier to chat with the friendly staff, otherwise they are generally too busy to linger. Customers are also friendly and happy to strike up a conversation.

If visiting at/after 11am, be ready to stand and wait for seating.

I’ve been going to Hudson’s my whole life and look forward to it every year when my family visits. Today the woman working was not friendly whatsoever. We were told since we ordered to go that we couldn’t sit down even though there were seats now open. We wanted to sit down but it was full so we ordered to go.
