I always order the Eggs Benedict with a side of fruit & it is always excellent. The fruit is fresh in the summer & includes berries, bananas, apples, peaches, pineapple- they allow me to ask for it w/o bananas & one gal even asked what other fruit I wanted more of! It comes with a side of cinnamon yoghurt for dipping. My friend orders the Aspiring Omelet- a huge helping of spinach & cheese topped with salsa & sourcream that comes with a side & bread of choice. They are the only restaurant I know that serves real (not a teabag) Market Spice Tea. For $3.95, you get a huge mug & as many refills as you can drink. I always take my last one to go & most of the servers offer to top it off, so I get 16oz of yummy tea goodness in addition to what I've slurped while eating. Our meal was $40 before tip. Service is friendly & efficient. The gal told us it would be a 30min wait during breakfast rush hour. It was more like ten or fifteen & we got a booth. I live in Spokane & happily drive over to CDA for this place.

Eaten bfast here many times
Always solid, had tri dip with au jus... I love salt... Like a lot, this au jus was not edible due to the salt ... Sandwich was ok but with the dipping what's the point ...
Server was pleasant but only checked back once when we were finished ....
Stick with bfast might be my best plan

Just…wow! It’s so rare to find well-prepared food with real ingredients in a restaurant anymore. Best breakfast ever. Not just food, but an experience! Aijah was amazing, friendly, and offered impeccable service. THANK YOU!!

Great place in town for breakfast!! I love their eggs Benedict and their biscuits and gravy, those are the only two things I order because they are soooo good. Every time I order either of these they are great. Their food is always consistent, always flavorful and filling. Their staff is always welcoming and I think it’s great that you see the owner almost every time we go. If he’s not answering the phone or seating guests he’s probably in the kitchen. Highly recommend

Michael D’s Eatery in Coeur d’Alene is a gem. We knew the food would be great the moment we realized how tough it was to find a parking spot — a sure sign of a popular place. Breakfast was fantastic, the staff was warm and attentive, and the restaurant itself was spotless. A standout detail was the zucchini bread: instead of just a small slice, they served a whole mini loaf, and it was absolutely delicious. We’re already looking forward to going back. Highly recommend!

One of the old school CDA owners with much experience in local restaurant scene. Has gotten a little more spendy, but again what isn't in CDA. Especially recommend the coffee there, its local good. Happy Jack is for the big appetites. Nice parking and location near Lake. This is the place we'd go to in the winter before seeing the Eagles.

We came from Europe for a family visit in CdA, and Michael D's was the place they selected to take us for a good, hearty breakfast. I quickly could see why. The place is a welcoming, laid back diner, not too big, very popular with locals, with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Service was cordial, chatty but efficient. My blueberry pancake was absolutely delicious, they insisted in us trying the zucchini bread and the local gravy and it was worthy of the additional attention; I could see the Bagel Florentine was a very popular and fully appreciated choice. I am glad we tried Michael D's Eatery.
