Taco Works Prairie

Posting here because it looks like the Taco Works Athol location doesn’t have a google page. Has always somewhat been our go to place on Saturday’s for the Cali burrito special. These last 2 times the burritos have been awful. We thought it may have been a fluke last time, but was pretty much the same this time. I don’t know if they are cheaping out on the meat now but it’s chewy, gristly, fatty & has a weird almost gamey taste. They were also pretty dry inside, not much sauce. Sad because it was one of our favorite places but will not be going back anytime soon. 2 stars because the rice & salsa is still good.

I love Taco works and the prairie one is definitely no exception the food is just as great as the others and the staff is super friendly!!! I love this location for because they have a little building you can eat in especially going in the summer with some friends and getting some tacos after work on a Tuesday is just amazing!!!

Amazing food. Salsa verda was on point. The best salsa verda i have ever had!! Would definitely eat there again and will be recommending to friends and family.

Decided to wait until we gave this place a second try before reviewing. It only got worse. The first time we got the California burrito. The meat was trash and there was way too much sauce. Almost unedible. Today we got carne asada fries (nacho fries). Couldn't even get through half of it. The fries tasted like they were days old and just reheated in the microwave. The meat was trash again. Really couldn't even decipher what it was. Supposedly it was steak? Just awful stuff. Will definitely not be going back to this location.

Was told the taco truck would show up to the NIC Parker campus and they've skipped out on us twice in a row. Disappointed as my friend and I look forward to this every week.

Had the Carne Asada burrito, was underwhelmed with the food experience. Heavy on the onions, rice was mushy, and the meat was probably 40% gristle/fat. The girl taking the order was nice, the food was prepared quickly. I have reviewed better....

Parking: Only vendor in the Prairie Pavillion to operate 7 days/week.

I had a fantastic chorizo breakfast burrito. Packed with Mexican sausage and Pico de Gallo. Plus there salsa was delicious. Just like grandmother used to make them. Check these guys out. You will love it too.

Vegetarian options: I'm sure they would make any dish you wanted without meat. They also serve dishes with fish of shrimp in them.

Parking: Lots of parking.

Kid-friendliness: Great eats for kids as well as adults.

Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of room for wheelchairs walkers carts and strollers.

Ate there Tuesday and got food poisoning don’t recommend eating there endless you want to be on the toilet for a week

They don't stick to the dates and times scheduled, and are usually late if they do.
