It was a busy Saturday afternoon when I walked in. There was only one lady doing the bar, taking orders, waitressing etc. I can’t believe how she managed to cope with everything. She needs a trophy. Anyway, the scotch egg was amazing. It sat on this bed of greens which had a delicious mustard vinaigrette glazed on it. For the fish and chips, I decided to try the salmon because I find ‘white fish’ to be tasteless. I did not regret the salmon option. So glad I came here.

This was such a fun British pub style place with a mix of Irish & Scottish food mixed in. This satisfied our U.K. Pub fix, one of our favorite things to do when traveling. It was so nice to see Guinness on tap and such a great variety of beers. The fish & chips were delicous, just a bit soft from being placed on top of hot fries. The Guinness stew pie was good, just not quite the pies I missed in Britain where it was a stew inside a fully crusted pie, than smothered in brown gravy. This was a rammekin with puff pastry on top. Still delicous. The four bangers we tried were all incredible. Perfectly balanced. The perfect end to the meal was the sticky toffee pudding. It was so perfect. Better than most of the ones we had all over the U.K.! Service was great and a must visit place when in Coeur D'Alene.

We were in town for a conference and wanted to find some pub trivia - the Crown & Thistle delivered!! Ben was a great host and the food and atmosphere were top notch. Look forward to stopping in next time I’m in town.

One of my favorite places to eat, drink, play trivia. The food is amazing… beer and wine choices are fabulous. And the owners, servers, cooks are the BEST!!!

The food was undercooked, soggy and oily. The counter person was unfriendly and looked unclean. The seats are uncomfortable. Table service prices for counter service. I won't be back

Great bangers and great selection of non-alcoholic beverages!

The cocktails are canned because I guess they can't serve anything more than beer and wine. But don't let that stop you, they're worth a stop in just for the house sausages and stone ground mustard. I'll have to come by again for the meat pies.

I’ve been here a number of times now and always enjoyed my time and the food/drink. Recently though, I was incredibly disturbed to find plan b boxes in the bathroom along with condoms, etc. in an open basket. I often have small children with me and neither want to explain what’s in the basket nor do I want to worry about them getting into one of those boxes. I imagine having hormonal drugs available to grab in a bathroom that is open to families is not okay. I hope management sees this and makes some changes.

5 stars is given away too easily. One star. It's good simple bar food. Nothing more, nothing less.

Best fish and chips in the area. Not too impressed with the full English... a real British banger instead of a brat and less soggy fried bread would be an improvement. Great staff and vibe.

I absolutely love dining here! Ashley and Max are so friendly and always take care of me! The chicken pot pie is my favorite item on the menu! 10/10!!

Delicious food my whole family can enjoy. Great atmosphere! The owners and their staff are incredibly welcoming to everyone and little ones! There’s games for every age to enjoy. Always a go to whenever downtown!

The most unauthentic British food I’ve ever had. I cannot overstate how bad the food is. Terrible

We have a tradition of visiting an Irish pub in every state or country we visit, this was our Idaho pub visit. It was such a great place to relax and grab some food after a long drive through Montana. The booths are so nice and cozy and great for helping keep our 3 year old contained. The pub has a great vibe to it, the bartenders were super friendly and happy to recommend both food and beer. The decor throughout was great, including the Clash wash your hands sign in the bathroom.
Really cool that the bangers are made in house, so we ordered the flight of them. Can't go wrong trying them all, they were really good, I can't recall the flavors on the board the day we were there but they didn't disappoint. Ordered the fish and chips as well. It was a tad overcooked, but still juicy and not too oily. Good seasoning, fairly light batter, would have been perfect if pulled from the fryer 30 seconds sooner. Beer selection was good, we had a couple of pints and overall had a really good stop in here. I'd certainly come back for more bangers and try some other house specialties.
