The restaurant is cute, the French dip and burger were good. The Mac and cheese left a lot to be desired. It was incredibly dry and flavorless, I’ve had a better turn out with velvetta. What I really don’t love is the “hidden” to-go fee they charge and do not even mention. I didn’t get my food any faster and walked in to order it so my wait time to order wasn’t any quicker.
The charge is $1 per entree, which is minimal, it’s the point of not even mentioning it. Likely not a place I’d be be back to.

It's a nice place very busy, the service and the atmosphere are spot on. I ordered the ribs as I have been craving ribs. The first set was dry and almost hard. I had to cut what meat I could off the bone. The waitress agreed that it was dry. The second set was cut thicker and is a bit fresher. The smoke flavor is great but the seasoning suffers. The brisket chili was amazing but the brisket was dry and tough but the chili was awesome. I like this place and I come back I just won't order the ribs or the brisket but I will come back. I have come to the Relic Smokehouse many times. The smoked baked potatoes are one of my family's favorite things. It is always hit or miss on the level of smoke flavor. This last visit 12/08/2024...there was zero smoke flavor. All three in my party ordered smoked potatoes, because we know how good they are. All 3 of ours had no darkened skin color, and were basically oven baked from what I could see. My sister's hot chocolate was served luke warm...and had to have it microwaved. The brisket was good, more fat than I am used to seeing...but was rendered well. Cups of sauces were offered instead of the squeeze bottles at the table. Something has changed for sure in the past several months....but it is not for the better...I can tell you that. Last thing...i ordered a Relic Boat which can come with pulled pork or brisket. The server never asked which I wanted, and I found her and made sure she would make it pulled pork. She said the computer doesn't let her select either....so I got brisket on my Relic Basket. The hell is going on over there lately? I might wait for new management or kitchen staff before I go back. A gamble.

couldn’t hear anyone at our table because the live music was so loud. we had to yell at each other the whole time to any type of conversation

This was my favorite place to eat for years...until now. Something has definitely changed there. New chefs? Different wait staff? The food quality has gone down significantly....so disappointing! Probably won't go back....I'm sad.

I love this restaurant and try to eat here everytime I'm in town. I've tried almost everything on their menu now and its all great. The only downside is their small building can only fit so many people at time.
