11.2.24: We drove 35 minutes to town after hearing that some live reggae music was being played by a local artist, Byrd (his band is called, Agape), and to grab a bite to eat.
The Surf Shack had a vibe and great surf decor to match. They offer and serve domestic beer as well as some craft beers. They even have White Claws for non-beer drinkers. Of course, they have the usual soda fountain for non-alcoholic beverages. I went with a craft Elysian, which complimented well with my burger.
As for the menu, it's not super extensive and they offer a variety of burgers, a philly, a chicken sando, and a non-meat black bean veggietarian alternative. As for sides, the have the basics: regular/sweet potato fries, tater tots, and onion rings. People with kids, they have a kids menu available!

Horrible employees!! Young kids who don’t care about customer service or being clean at all. Watched the girl making the burgers cross contaminate with raw hamburger and then touch the buns, her face, hair, clothing, her phone and then continue to make food. I asked them if they are supposed to wear gloves and she said no. Yikes! Then the kids (employees) proceeded to argue with me when I clearly watched her cross contaminate and took no responsibility at all. Instead they laughed, told me I was wrong (attitudes) and acted entitled. This is disturbing on so many levels. I really hope the owner holds these employees accountable because this is a huge safety issue and I’m wondering how many people get sick eating here. Will never go back.

Loved this place. Messed up my order but instead of just making a new burger they said they needed to refund my card and recharge me. My card never got refunded. Could be a cool place but seems like they hate working there tho.

After finding a table, they brought the warm, yummy burgers to us and made sure we were taken care of :) the art is fun and exciting inside and out, and you can tell this place has a lot of potential for great, fun days ahead of it! Stop by the big yellow Surf Shack on your next CDA day ?

One of my favorite restaurants in cda. Custom art inside and the burgers are great, Not the best burger you will ever have but the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is good.
What an awesome place to stop in for a great meal and good vibes! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant itself was clean and had spacious. The entertainment for the night was absolutely top notch! I would recommend the Surf Shack 100 times over!

Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and very spacious
Food was good and realy good fries, service was quick and staff courteous. To serve beer an employee of age can get it. Atmosphere was fun, lots of cool surfboards. Seem like a hangout of teens who were courteous as well.
