We were pleased to find an eatery in Council. The food was good, we shared a breakfast and it was plenty for 2. Very homey and friendly.

Stopped in for breakfast last year. It was very good. Large portion and friendly staff. Stopped in for a burger this year and again going it was very tasty. Staff was again friendly. This cafe is off the main highway. It is worth googling the location for a good meal.

At first we were like idk about this place, we decided to give it a shot and the inside looks are in need of a remodel, but the food was absolutely amazing best place in council hounds down. The cheeseburger patties were super thick and deliciously hand made, the onion rings were crisp and fresh and delicious, the taco salad was also hand made shell and was cooked perfectly.

The Seven Devils Café in Council, Idaho is a hidden gem. We ordered the Cobb Salad, the fingersteaks, and the She Devil chicken sandwich. All were delicious!! We were so happy with our food. This is not a place you go for the atmosphere - which is early diner bare bones simple but clean. (They do, however, have three gigantic Boone and Crockett mule deer mounts on the wall that are spectacular.) I recommend their food wholeheartedly.

Today's visit wasn't great. Food/ service was good ( its hit and miss over the years on this as we have witnessed locals getting taken care of before the people passing thru town), but when I got my plate today, my husband realized part way thru me eating, I am missing hashbrown( not a huge issue) except she never came back to check on us AND when we got the bill, prices didn't match the menu prices( off by almost 2.00 for each plate.
When I went to pay the bill I asked about prices and hashbrowns, apparently there was a price increase but it wasn't reflected on the menu. Was told the owner hasn't brought in New updated menus. In my opinion, you need to honor the menu price until new menu are in circulation. She gave me a small discount for no hasbrowns but nothing for the price adjustment, except for a sorry. Its been hit and miss for years, sometimes good, mostly not. Today may have been the final straw for us not to go back. We LOVE supporting the ma and pa business but you can't continue to screw people and expect them to come back. There are other places that want your business.

They forgot our drink order, then forgot to give us our menu. We waited over an hour for our food to get out, when it came it was almost cold. They also mixed up our order a bit.

Gross. Dirty. Wipe the tables. Vacuum
Beware of the dry creamer that is in the exact same container as the sugar. Perhaps a label is in order. Waitress was very kind and offered to replace my iced tea, but I was able to get most of the creamer out.
We had great service and an outstanding BFD here, one of the best burgers we've had anywhere. I subbed a salad for the fries and it was crisp and fresh. Local vibe, good burgers.
