Bacquet's Restaurant

This used to be my family‘s favorite restaurant. However, the owner’s wife makes the experience a crap show. Arrogant, rude, and full of herself with power is how she comes across: In the restaurant, and on the responses to all of these reviews. She cannot take any type of criticism.
We had spent thousands in that restaurant before the last time we visited. And I only say that to show that we truly went there a lot. But our time dealing with Michelle was so horrid that we would never visit that restaurant ever again. The majority of the food that we had there was amazing. I understand different people have different palates and not everything will satisfy everyone-but we did enjoy most of the food which is why we kept going. We went for every occasion… Anniversary, birthday, Mother’s Day, you name it we were there.
However, when you have a bully who is allowed to run around unstopped, treating people the way that she does… It says a lot about you and your restaurant.
I think when you see so many people sharing experiences with the owner‘s wife that are similar, It is time to step back and maybe contemplate that this person should not be representing you and your restaurant; whether it be in the restaurant, in Facebook, food, groups, or your Google reviews. 💯

Our neighbor is always scouting for new restaurants to try. She found Bacquet's and she and her husband invited my wife and I plus two other couples to join them. Reservations were made.

Bacquet's is a French restaurant, located closer the east end of State St. in Eagle, at the corner of State and Hill. There is a very nice patio area as well as the indoor dining area. The inside is nicely decorated with paintings and movie posters, for example, Casablanca. The tables have nice tablecloths and, of course, cloth napkins. It was a hot day so we sat indoors.

Our server was a very nice female brunette. I'm sorry that I did not ask her for her name. She explained the menu and the specials, and took excellent care of us. One thing she emphasized was that she would not rush us. The entree would not be started until after we received our appetizers. We were to have a fine dining experience.

A bottle of wine was ordered. Appetizers included the Ocean Flatbread, with prawns and scallops as toppers, and the Porcini Purses with Wild Mushrooms. They also served up a tasty bread, with whipped butter. For the entrees, my wife and I had the Prawn Aglio e Olio, a pappardelle pasta dish with Black Tiger Prawns, garlic, and red pepper flakes, tossed in olive oil, which brought a little heat. Others also got this dish, while others ordered the veal piccata.

All of the food was delicious, and, again, the service was excellent. They did not rush us, to the point where we arrived at 6pm, and stayed until after 9pm, when they close at 8pm. So, they were very gracious in allowing us our time.

Bacquet's in not inexpensive, so some may want to reserve their visit for a special occasion. However, I highly recommend this establishment. I was a wonderful experience!

My wife and I have been here twice, seven years apart. Both times equally fantastic. We 100% will not make it seven weeks, let alone seven years, until we find our way back for another memorable dining experience!

Food is exceptional! Service is perfect! An experience you don’t want to miss. Whether dining on the patio or seated inside you never feel rushed but rather able to sit and enjoy the experience. 5 star restaurant!!

I hearby rate this establishment 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 out of 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩! The scallops in the shell were simply AMAZING. The only down side I could think of was the lamb. While it was really good, the fat was chewy and not alot of meat to the bone. All in all it was a good bday dinner for the wife.

Usually our meals here are fabulous. Real disappointment in recent prime rib special. Our meat was largely fat. Sad to have to register this poor rating, but hopefully it will bring attention to ways to improve.

I love dining here. My new years goal is to dine 3 times a month. Every aspect of the experience is 5 star. 💕

The cook and staff were great! My meal on the other hand was not. I believe that other dishes are AMAZING, but I must have ordered the wrong meal for me. Dinner for three cost just under $200 plus tip and tip to the cook, tax included; all added to the bill at the end. $240 out the door. Wow! What an outstanding experience.
The food, service, and fun atmosphere
were all top-notch. We attended a drag show featuring the Lipslnc! performers, absolutely incredible talent and energy.

Chef Baquet was wonderfully accommodating, and the caring, attentive servers made us feel right at home. The buffet was delicious, with a great variety that exceeded our expectations. The salmon, quiche and all the sides were special.

We had such a great time and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Have been many times, the last time was awesome we got to sit with chef for a time and chit chat about food and all kinds of things. Incredible on helping with amazing wind selection as well. Great people, great food and well worth it. Cant wait to go back. Thank you Chef and team!
