Always are greeted like old friends. Casey, our server, was attentive, engaging and spaced our courses perfectly. The food remains consistently good and the ambiance is perfectly French.

Best food ever! We came here for our 20 year anniversary and I’m so glad we did! Will come again more often! And for lunch too! The French onion soup really is the best! The wait staff was really friendly, provided wonderful service and…we got the back part of the dining room all to ourselves! We may have spent a few moments dancing in between courses too! Perfect ambiance! Can’t recommend this place enough!

I LOVE this place!! It has been my favorite restaurant they first opened in The Boise Town Square Mall!!
When we lived in Boise we would eat here every couple of months. I brought many family members and friends here and everyone loved it.
We moved away ten years ago and hadn’t eaten since then until recently. I surprised my husband with a trip back to Boise and dinner at Bacquet’s for his birthday!!
Everything was just as delicious as I remembered it. He has since moved, changed his decor and hired new staff but the food has not changed!!
I love that it sees itself as a full on European style restaurant. The table is yours for the evening, they don’t rush you, they won’t start clearing the table until everyone is finished, they help with food and wine selections and they won’t bring the check until you ask for it!!
Love and miss you, Chef Franck!!

Incredible meal, fantastic service - a great night! French onion soup was the best I’ve ever had. The special was fresh and flavorful. Crème brûlée was a brilliant end. Wine suggestions made great pairings. Could not more highly recommend dinner at Becquet’s!

My wife and I had a very enjoyable 20th anniversary. We’ve started a tradition by enjoying the patio and last evening was our 4th in a row.

The food was exquisite, French cooking at its finest, beautiful presentation, pretty decent sized portions, butter....
Tried escargot and it was lovely, like a mussel mixed with mushroom and a mild funk flavor on the end, delicious picked up in its garlicky-herby butter bath by a piece of crusty loaf.
The French onion soup was incredibly rich and so flavorful, more like a loose gravy than soup! Fantastic!
The Salmon Champagnoise is to die for, that sauce touched with basil is heavenly and incredible with perfectly cooked parm crusted salmon, fresh made pappardelle and steamed carrot and asparagus. ? 12/10 would dine again for special occasions only because I'm poor. ?

Our meals were slathered in brown sauce, meat was indistinguishable, most dishes were over-salted/over buttered. Water glasses were dry most of the meal, wait staff seemed both overwhelmed tho the restaurant was not busy. The entire flow was off. On a Friday night, it felt like it was in the hands of amateurs from the cooking to the service, giving 70s steakhouse quality flavors, nowhere near the nuanced flavors we've come to expect from Bacquet's.

Where do I begin? With a nice class of wine! We accompanied our Sauvignon Blanc with the famous escargot. They simply can't be beat. Try them. Soak up the delicious butter they're cooked in with your bread. Even if the idea scares you. Lol.
The French onion soup is dark, rich, and decadent. I understand it takes 3 days to prepare, and it's wonderful!
The entree is hard to choose, and we've really enjoyed the salmon, whether in a salad or as a main dish. And on Thursdays, the smoked prime is the best I've ever had, seasoned and cooked perfectly. On other nights, we often choose the seafood flatbread for our entree, loaded with so much flavorful seafood. It's wonderful.
There's still time to catch a warm summer evening on the patio, and maybe you'll hear Franck join the band!

Bacquets is one of the best dinning experiences around. From the wine room to the staff that's educated in every aspect. Our server was awesome. I am so picky with wine. The sweeter, the better, and I've never found one I can finish. Until I came here. I drank the whole bottle and really wish I got a picture ??♀️. Another date night coming soon. Cheers ?
