“My fiance and I moved to the area from west tennessee a couple months ago. I grew up cooking and eating Memphis style BBQ and I think this would hold up against just about any place in Memphis. Wings were outstanding. Tri tip was outstanding as well. Fantastic BBQ sauce. and the Mac n cheese reminded me of how my granny used to make it. highly recommend and will definitely be back.“

“Eat here all the time. The food never gets old. It is so good from the ribs to the Brisket and the Tri tip. Love there sides. Mac and Cheese my favorite but the Baked beans and smashed potatoes are incredible as well. Love how you don’t have to sit for hours to get my food. I never have to wait. It’s prompt service. Price is reasonable considering the cost of meat and everything being made homemade. The tastes are signature. I used to live in Missouri and thought I had tasted some of the best barbecue but not until now. So good you will not regret it. The deserts are incredible as well. The Bread pudding sundae or a mixed berry cobbler. Yum They also added new stuff to the menu. The brisket tacos and their new hamburgers. Then to top it off they added Breakfast the Brisket Benedict my favorite but their waffles are light and fluffy. Definitely a five star all around. Can’t wait to go back.“

Here are my three favorite appetizers from the locally owned Goodwood Barbecue Company in Meridian and Boise Idaho. Try the fresh made onion rings with buttermilk batter, the loaded Idaho potato skins and the shredded pork quesadilla. I also routinely choose the made in house potato salad as a side dish when ordering an entrée, which is creamy and not mayo based, plus the not overly sweet BBQ beans as the optional "two sides with each entrée." They have a separate lunch menu section for entrees, salads and sandwiches.
The service at both locations is always friendly, they hustle and the restaurants always seem to be a popular lunch and dinner choice, filling up fast.
Reservations are available for large parties. Just call in advance and the table is already set up with menus, silverware, water, etc. While not a separate room, there are two locations in each place that can be set up. We have ended up with as many as 28 people.*

I contacted Mimi at the height of Goodwood's catering season in December to request a reservation for our January Christmas party. A luau sounded great in September!Mimi guided us through the whole process and with her many years of experience, made it seamless and easy. Incredibly, our food was delivered right on time despite the snowstorm and everything was perfect.Important tip: Please listen to Mimi's recommendations for food amounts!
