A great, cozy place with the best patio seating run by the most wonderful people!! They’re so hospitable, remember small details about yourself and serve free popcorn 🍿! They brew all their beer in house and like to experiment with seasonal flavors. They have a collection of card & board games, as well as TVs for sports!

Highly recommend this hidden Gem in Eagle!

We have enjoyed this brewery for well over a year. We have always been thoroughly impressed by the personable and friendly owners, who provide phenomenal customer service. We are continually pleased by their variety of excellent brews year-round, and you can’t beat their prices anywhere in the valley. This is a great place to spend quality time with friends and family (including children). With notice given, they have been extremely accommodating to larger gatherings as well. You won’t be disappointed stopping by!

We absolutely love Gem State Brewing in Eagle! It’s our weekly spot with our two young kids. Chris and Crystal, the owners, are so friendly and welcoming—they’ve created such a clean, relaxing, and family-friendly environment. Our girls love the games and free popcorn, and we love the great beer—you really can’t beat the prices. It’s the perfect mix of community, comfort, and quality. Highly recommend!

The best beer and the best owners. Always new drafts to try and they have a great family friendly environment. One of our favorite spots to spend an evening.

Our family and I enjoyed a wonderful two hours at this brewery today. The staff was so very friendly and welcoming and it is such a wonderful place for family because they really have everything for everyone. The beers on top are absolutely delicious and they even let you sample. They have games for the kids to play under a Misty Fan area outside and it is so artistic and well done. I can’t say enough great things about this place. You can order your food from Spitfire right next-door and they help each other in terms of helping their business next-door. It’s a great place and a great little addition to Eagle. Highly recommend it.

This is by far our favorite Brewery in the Treasure Valley. We ride our bikes here with the whole family often. Gem State is very family friendly. And, the prices are unbeatable. Do yourself a favor and try it out.

I rarely give anything a 5. This place was terrific. It had a great vibe, is in a nice location, and above all else... The beer was really terrific. Our party of three got flights for two of us and a blueberry vanilla cream ale. All terrific. We wish they would make a Belgium double or triple, but we will be back regardless if they don't make it or not.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this establishment, especially for families with young children. During our visit, my son was simply being himself—laughing, playing, and enjoying his time with us. While he was a bit vocal, it was nothing beyond normal childlike behavior. Rather than fostering a family-friendly environment, the staff asked that he quiet down to accommodate others—despite the fact that we were seated outside, near groups of adults loudly playing games and drinking on the patio.

It was disappointing to feel unwelcome simply because we had children—and because our child wasn’t silently occupied with an iPad, as many others were. For some families, bringing kids along isn’t a choice, and we had hoped to enjoy a relaxed time together. Instead, we left feeling judged and uncomfortable.

I would recommend choosing Spitfire next door instead, which offers a much more welcoming atmosphere for families. We won’t be returning.

Update with a response to the owner:

Thanks for the response. Just to clarify: my two-year-old was being a happy toddler—not throwing a tantrum, not aggressive, just existing as toddlers do. And yes, while he has hydrocephalus and developmental delays, which affect his ability to regulate volume—something we’re actively working on, including re-testing his hearing. However, I believe your interpretation is a bit dramatic, and this is coming from a mom that understands overstimulation.

My six-year-old daughter is autistic and avoids crowds. She quietly climbed onto an empty stool to sit next to her brother—at a table no one else was using. That’s not misbehavior; that’s a child trying to stay close to her family and feel safe.

We take our kids everywhere—restaurants, wineries, public events—and have never once been told they were a problem. So when you say you “welcome well-behaved children,” it reads less like a rule and more like discrimination against children with diagnoses.

I never called your brewery a playground—just offered other families a heads-up about the kind of reception they might receive. It’s interesting that my honest review is the only one you responded to. Guess 4.9 stars takes some curating.

First time visit, i had a taster and my favorite was cream ale, and spicy peach.
