Hot food is pre-made and requires a trip to the microwave.

Nice local coffee shop. Visited on a mid-morning week day and seemed to have steady flow of traffic. Stayed busy the entire time I was there (do people work anymore?)Great place to meet. More seating would be nice. Prices are little steep, but everything is nowadays, and I live in the matrix, so everything is expensive to me. Especially in this place called Boise.

I can't believe I haven't left a review before about Perks of Life. It is such a fabulous coffee shop and eatery. Comfortable, welcoming, delicious food, great coffee, efficient and friendly service. It looks family owned or run. We have always had the nicest people serving us and other people in the cafe - it's just a friendly, wonderful place. Lots of gluten-free pastries - which are amazing. Several gluten-free food options. Indoor and outdoor seating. The seating and the art are eclectic and friendly. Vegetarian options and children friendly.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options. I don't see anything vegan here. But it's worth asking.Dietary restrictions: Numerous gluten free options. Vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: The seating is soft and comfortable. There are several games available for children.

I gave 4 stars only because the pastries we ordered weren't the most tasty. They were good but could have been better. But I will say their Mexican coffee was amazing!! I would go back for that!

My husband and I have been to this place twice and liked it both times. Their coffee is good and not too sweet. We've tried mocha, Mexican mocha, toasted praline and coconut latte (winter flavor), and gingerbread latte (winter flavor). The first three were really good, but the gingerbread one didn't really taste like gingerbread. As for the food, we've gotten the breakfast sausage burrito and quiche lorraine. Both were solid. The crust on the quiche is delicious but the bottom is a little soggy while the edges are sometimes way too crispy. It might help to maybe parbake the crust first for a bit before baking it with the quiche filling. That's me being nitpicky though -- the flavors are spot on. For the scones, we've tried both the raspberry lemon and strawberries and cream. The scone texture is great -- a bit crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. The raspberry lemon is better than the strawberries and cream one though. The latter needed more strawberries -- it was just sweet and didn't have a lot of flavor. Overall, this is a solid coffee place with solid quick breakfast options.

Good coffee and delicious baked goods. So far, the best gluten-free pastries outside of my kitchen. The coffee is ok. Nothing special, unfortunately. But the variety of pastries and gluten-free pastries is why I would return. Service is ok.Dietary restrictions: There were six pastries still in the case when I arrived. The strawberries and cream scone and pumpkin muffin are sooo good.

Perks of Life has made the best home-made quiche for at least 10+ years. Their breakfast burritos are outstanding, and the cafe is decorated in local paintings. This place is real love.

This is such a cute little coffee shop! The employees are nice, the food and drinks are great and they have GLUTEN FREE muffins, cookies, and scones! All of the GF treats I have tried from here are amazing! The only downside of this establishment is that they don't really have any plug-ins available for you to charge your devices. Other than that, this place is a must try!

The BEST coffee shop in Boise! Local business with great coffee, yummy pastries and breakfast options, and affordable prices. If I could go here 7 days a week, I would!
