Went in for breakfast this morning and waited for 2 hours to get our meals served to us. There was a to go order that was ahead of us, but 2 hours for hashbrowns, eggs and toast? Food was mediocre but I will not be back.

My Family worked there in 1977 so this is my History❤

Nicki is the hostess/ server/ cook/ busser...... and she still found time to chat with us and tell us the history of the Cafe ( 1930's, still owned by her family for almost 40 years). Crispy fried chicken and real mashed potatoes and gravy. The Trail burger was huge and delicious. The old countertop is worn from all the elbows over the years. Worth a stop for a meal since it's right off the interstate!

This restaurant is a step back in time. It appears cleaner than most diners of this vintage. The portions are generous and the prices are cheap by today's standards. The food is standard American cuisine, from the 1950s.

I stopped at this little motel while driving my moving truck/escaping from Portland, OR to Dallas TX. This motel was literally the most enjoyable hotel experience I have ever had in my life. THe beds were comfortable, the AC worked great [no 'freeze or fry' like I've had in other places], the restaurant had a great burger-fry dinner for me and a wonderful full breakfast the next AM for a great price. The bar had the best version of my favorite drink I've ever had, too! This was the rarest of things I've encountered on a cross-country trip: A place so enjoyable that I half-way wish I'd be moving again, just so I could stop in again! Five years after I passed through, I still remember the Hanson's motel and cafe, and sing its praises. Bravo!

I have nothing against outdated furnishings but this place was just filthy. There was absolutely no attempt the clean anything smudges everywhere , stains everywhere. Bed sheets were disgusting hairs everywhere human and dog. Here's the kicker you will be sharing your room with bed bugs room number 5 was infested. The people next door were finding them also. Spoke to management she said she didn't see them when she cleaned yesterday. She slipped up and admitted they're booking rooms back to back instead of giving time for room to be vacant due to Coronavirus. Book The Room thinking I would have breakfast in the morning on site yeah right I wouldn't eat anything that comes from this establishment. Long story short I was refunded my money.

Dirtiest motel room I’ve ever slept in. And I’m far from picky. Brought in my own blankets and towels. There were splashes on the mirrors, cob webs everywhere, the counter tops were dirty, smudges on the walls, mold in the shower, the bathroom was dirty, the towels were stained, the carpet was stained, when I looked in the mini fridge there was shredded cheese everywhere, the tv wouldn’t work and when I asked for help they said they couldn’t help with that. Don’t stay here especially during these times when everything should be extremely clean. I want my money back. Only positive, The food was yummy and it was kinda cheap and it felt nice and rural because no one was wearing a mask

I loved this place! It reminded me of where I grew up. Rockland, Idaho. Not only was the food great but the atmosphere was vintage. A place where everyone knows everyone and where the old boys come in for coffee and discuss the world events. So much like home.

We are traveling from Kansas City and took a chance on this restaurant. She was very busy so it took a little bit to get our food but the wait was worth it! The food was delicious and we are very thankful we stopped in town to go there. Thank you!!
