I had an alarming and disappointing experience at stews place (28 E Idaho Ave, Glenns Ferry, ID 83623) that left me feeling both uncomfortable and unsafe! While minding my own business, a staff member approached me in an aggressive manner, physically placing their hands on me and pressing me, asking, “What’s going on?” This was entirely unprovoked and unnecessary, as I was not involved in any disruptive behavior or incident.
This kind of behavior from staff is not only unprofessional but also deeply concerning. It is unacceptable for employees to initiate physical contact with patrons without consent, especially in a way that feels confrontational and invasive. Rather than de-escalating a situation or ensuring the safety of their guests, their actions only escalated my discomfort and made me question the management’s priorities and training protocols.
A bar should provide a welcoming and safe environment for all patrons. Situations like this erode trust and create an atmosphere where customers may feel on edge or unwelcome. I strongly urge the management to address this incident seriously by implementing proper training on conflict resolution, customer interaction, and respecting personal boundaries.
I hope to see improvements in how staff conduct themselves moving forward, as this experience was far from what I expect when visiting a reputable establishment.

Very rude service very judgmental people they kick people out for no reason their food is disgusting. You’ll catch salmonella nothing is clean. The toilets are always covered in poop. Their counters are sticky. Their drinks are weak not worth the price at all. Their pizzas are never cooked all the way the dough and greasy don’t have hardly any toppings. Absolutely the most disgusting pizza I’ve ever ate in my life no they own two bars and a restaurant right next to each other Which is a monopoly, which is illegal in the state of Idaho there’s such an awful business and both their buildings they should just sell and give some other good business owners, the opportunity to move into this beautiful little town and give us some good food and good bars to enjoy, because not only does their food suck, and their bar suck, but they’re pool tables are uneven and dusty. Their sticks are warped. Their glasses have spots. their beer is not cold. These business owners should not be business owners. They should be ran out of town, and their business licenses should be taken away and revoked not only are they bad bar and restaurant owners that obviously don’t follow good health code nor do they follow health regulations for the state of Idaho and their employees. Don’t wash their hand and their employees are not required to each go to food handler classes and each have food handler licenses. I’m sorry I prefer people preparing my food and drinks to know what they’re doing and to be safe and clean. Let’s make our town of Glenn ferry, safe, fun and sanitary and let proper business owners move in and give us good food and drinks to enjoy that is cooked and make their employees learn how to properly handle our food and prepare it by being certified with a food handlers license.
