We were delighted to see Tundra doing so well. I loved my Spicy Lamb Bolognese and my sister loved her Trout. We split the Brussels sprouts with crunchy sticks on top. Delicious. Our waiter checked in on us but we did not feel rushed at all despite the restaurant doing a brisk business on a Sunday night. (Make reservations!) And we could hear each other speak even with all tables full. What a nice change of pace. We will be back.

We had an excellent dinner last night! Service was wonderful and attentive. We had the crispy tempura cod, which was done to perfection: crispy but not rock hard on the outside, and tender, flaky fish on the inside. The veggies were tender. Not mushy or half raw. We had a play to attend, so were unable to have dessert. Next time........

Tundra is our favorite restaurant in the Wood River Valley. This was a birthday dinner. The food was excellent and the wait staff exceptional. Our only complaint and the reason I can't give the usual 5 stars is that the noise from the table behind our table was excruciatingly loud. We couldn't hear each other speaking across a table for 2. Our table was in the back of the restaurant, as I had requested (for privacy), but the table behind ours (toward the kitchen area) had 3 couples and they seemed to be competing to see which person (mostly the guys) could be loudest. However, the food was perfect and delivered by exceptional wait staff.

If you have not eaten at Tundra you are missing out. The food is absolutely fantastic and so fresh. The specials are always innovative and just delicious. The staff is top tier. It's a fine dining experience without being overly stuffy. Wine and dessert lists are also fantastic. The owner is there nightly and such a hard working great guy. Tundra is a small but mighty dining experience and most definitely worth the drive from Ketchum. I think it's the best food and service in the Valley.
