Beautiful place with an authentic Idaho outdoorsy feel (see pics). Food and pricing were great, but the service is what was really exceptional. We came in at the last minute with a party of 10. They kept the restaurant open to accommodate us, and we got first rate service; including drink service and a customized dessert. If the restaurant had Hwy 20 visibility, they'd never have an open seat (if you aren't a local, you might not find this place). Try it out now;...
I had the the classic breakfast with a side of sausage gravy to go with my biscuit and my wife got the french toast. Both tasted amazing! We also got a chance to meet with one of the owners, Debbie, and talk about the history of the lodge. The atmosphere is exactly what we were looking for to start our trip to Yellowstone. Do not miss out on this restaurant!
A handy location just off the highway, great food, cozy atmosphere, attentive wait staff, and even live country music! We will be back every time we visit the Island Park area. Kevin and Debbie run a great business!
