The salsa here is great. If that is all I was rating on it would be a 5 star for sure. The rest of the food, it was ok. Vegitables were done well, rice was good, but the chicken was over cooked. The queso they use is not white in color, its yellow and tastes like canned nacho cheese.
The main disappointment for us was the way they handled the bill. My son ordered chicken, cheese and rice, which is as easy to make as it sounds. Where I am from this is a $10 - $15 dollar entre depending on where you go. The waiter entered it on our bill as a main entre (It was nothing fancy. Literally chicken and rice.), which at this restaurant are all $20. He then added a side of their queso to the bill for another $7.25 and mixed it all together. Of course we didnt know this until we got the bill. My wife and I split an appetizer, one of my sons got a legit entre for $20 and my other son got the chicken, cheese and rice, and we get a bill for a whopping $68 before tip. If you go here, stick to the options on the menu. It will cost you if you stray.

I had high hopes for casa de oro based on the menu and the ambiance when I walked in.classic Mexican dishes, well-presented, and flavorful enough to enjoy. The tacos al pastor were particularly good.
Unfortunately, the experience was completely overshadowed by the service. While waiting for our order, I couldn’t help but overhear a few of the waitstaff talking among themselves in Spanish. As someone who understands the language, I was surprised—and frankly disappointed—to realize they were speaking poorly about customers, including myself and the group I was with.
Comments about what people were wearing, their accents, and even someone’s order choice were being made openly and disrespectfully. It wasn’t just unprofessional—it was downright rude and made the entire experience uncomfortable.
Restaurants thrive not just on good food but also on how customers are treated. Respect should be a given, regardless of whether someone understands the language or not. I left feeling unwelcome, which is a shame because the kitchen clearly has potential.
Until the management addresses this issue, I can’t recommend this place. A dining experience is about more than just what’s on the plate—how you’re treated matters just as much.

i had the carne asada burrito and it was not what i was expecting. Seemed more like porridge with square chunks of beef. It wasn't horrible, but i wouldn't recommend this particular dish. The service was world class! i hate to leave a less than steller review, but i hope this can help improve the product!

I have been eating less and less there, Food has been bland, Services zilch, this time I got food to go, when I got home, I measured the quantity , there was 1 tablespoon of refried beans a little over 2 tablespoons of rice two tacos barely any meat mostly potatoes lotta lettuce little bit of cheese very disappointed will not go back for $19.06

Hole in the wall kinda run down inside but the food makes up for the lack of atmosphere. Went with four other people and everyone agreed it was the next Mexican they had in awhile. 10/10 will be back
