We were hesitant about bringing our 2 year old with us to dinner but we are so happy that we did. The staff was so kind and welcoming to us and especially our daughter which made for such a pleasant dining experience. The food was great but the service to our family was extraordinary. Other restaurants could learn a lot from the owner on how to make families feel welcome. Thank you!

Easily one of the best dining experience I've had in years.
Everything was on point from setting and floor plan, to service, and of course food. I'm not a fancy person, consider myself salt of the earth. But the owner made my family and 2yr old daughter feel very welcome. We'll be coming back.
Kid-friendliness: The owner made our 2yr old feel very welcome. He went out of his way for our child and others bringing them popsicles and engaging with them. He also frames children's artwork on the walls of his restaurant.

We always love a summer dinner at The Covey. Food is consistently delicious (especially the cauliflower and chicken dishes!) l, and staff is very welcoming and attentive. The back patio is such a treat to enjoy with friends too!

We truly enjoyed the service and the quality of the food. The beet salad was out of this world. The issue was, seated behind us at one of the large round fire pit tables was a group of young women who knew the young gentleman seated at the table next to us. The ladies were so incredibly loud yelling back and forth to the guys table showing total disregard for every other patron in the restaurant. Inevitably I commented on this to our waitress Riley but it ruined our meal. Riley spoke to the ladies table but at that point we were both in foul moods because we had spent the duration of our meal trying to hear eachother speak. I would hope going forward the management could pay a bit more attention to what’s happening on the patio and at least attempt to ensure everyone is enjoying themselves.

We had a wonderful dinner at the covey. The food was excellent. I had the bavette which was to die for. The trout was also excellent. Service was friendly and helpful and efficient. It is pretty pricey, but that would be true of most of Sun valley.

My food was actually bad. I ordered the Malfadine and it was basically noodles in slime with some interesting spice that didn’t belong(maybe nutmeg?) I couldn’t even eat it I had to eat something else when we returned home, which is not ideal for what we spend to eat there. Really wanted to like this place because it is such a nice vibe but would not go back.

Great food, including a nice pasta section. The clam starters were great. The octopus we liked a little bit less. For mains, the wagyu bavette was so good, though it didn't come with any sides, just a little bit of sweet potato puree. The eggplant was delicious, my favorite dish. Lots of fun cocktails and mocktails as well. Overall, great spot for dinner

If I could give this ten stars I would. They made our children feel like they were the most important people in the room, put us at ease, and even gave our doodle a spot to hang so we could enjoy a meal. It was the best experience we have ever had. The meal was exquisite, balanced, delicious, and fabulous. The best we have had in a long time. Thank you so much for making our girls feel so special.

Absolutely the best meal we've had out in quite some time. The food (mushrooms/spaetzle, bib lettuce salad, bavette, trout) was amazing. Really, every bite was perfect. The executive chef was great, interacting with us and our 8-year old. He seems to really enjoy his work. The "love of food" shines through at The Covey, and we only wish we weren't out-of-towners so we could eat here often.
