Base Camp Coffee

I hate giving bad reviews, but the service was so disappointing.

My drink was not good, but I wasn’t even upset about that. I get the same thing every day at my local coffee shops, so I know the color my drink is supposed to be and how it tastes. I kindly asked if they had put in all of the syrups (we had a big group, so I was totally understanding that maybe it had been forgotten). The first girl was fairly nice and said to give it a try and let her know if she needed to add more, but then closed her window before we could tell her.

When the second girl opened the window with another drink, I was clearly very embarrassed, and said “I’m so sorry, I feel so annoying, but could I get those syrups added, I don’t taste any of them.” She said “ya” but then rolled her eyes SO hard and basically slammed the window in our faces and then shoved the drink back in the car. As we drove away, she was giving us such rude glares from her window.

As a car full of small business owners, we were honestly pretty shocked and disappointed by the service. We understand that people make mistakes and we tried to be jokey and kind the whole time, apologizing for ordering about 10 drinks (but honestly, business is business, so I don’t think they should be upset about having a big group).

Unfortunately, we had all tipped before they even started handing out our drinks, or none of us would have tipped after the window slams and eye rolls. Next time, don’t forget that your window is glass, and we can see everything happening and all of the faces from outside the window. I wish I could have had a better experience, because the shop looked so cute and we were all excited to go every morning while we were camping, but decided we would NOT be returning after the first experience.

? We had been driving around North Idaho for hours, we should have soon reached the city of Couer D'Alene when, suddenly, we noticed this place.
? Near a petrol station, covered by a cloud of dust raised by the last customer who had visited it, this small "on the road" bar appears like a mirage in front of us.
☕ We enter and two very sweet girls welcome us warmly. We take an espresso (single shot, milk and caramel) and an iced coffee. Delicious and made with so much passion.
They made our day. If you're in the area, give yourself a treat and stop by Base Camp Coffee!

Parking: This is a dirt area adjacent to the bar. Dusty but very close to the venue.

stopped here while helping my family move half way acrossed the U.S. and it was such a wonderful and refreshing stop. the coffee and food were all very good! the staff were wonderful and friendly. if I'm ever going by I will definitely be stopping!

I’m a truck driver and I’ve stopped there twice both times told him to make me whatever they wanted to and each time didn’t get disappointed services is very well. People are friendly and the coffee is magnificent prior the best coffee I’ve had today as a truck driver caffeine is my best friend so when I find a place that I like, let it be known

Christmas Eve had the best white chocolate mocha of my life! Husband loved his mocha so we tried it again today (week later) and we were not disappointed! Same quality as last week, and the ladies working there are so welcoming and friendly .We don’t get coffee out very often but this will be included on every trip we make past them. Clean, organized and fair prices.

I love love love this place!! Their breakfast burritos are amazing, and they accommodate large orders! Friendly service and very receptive to feedback. Mistakes happen but you just let them know and they fix it right away. The new staff is competent and kind…highly recommend.

I absolutely love Base Camp! It's the only place that I can get my drink and have it always taste amazing! My husband stops almost every morning for their breakfast burritos. He says they are delicious! The girls there are not only very fast and efficient, they are super friendly!

I have been stopping there most mornings before work in CDA. Starts my day off right. Girls are always welcoming and smiling. I have a double shot mocha and its hot and delicious. I also had a breakfast sausage burrito. Equally good. Stop and have a favorite hot beaverage on these cold mornings.

The new Base Camp is very disappointing. I've tried to give it a shot more than once considering they USED to be my favorite coffee. The shots are always burnt and my drink is always undrinkable. It is very sad to see what used to be a nice place to stop with nice ladies turned upside down. I'm not sure what happened with a whole crew of girls quitting but I highly would not recommend it.
