Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

I have done business at this location both as a delivery driver and as a customer. In both instances, this location is painfully slow. Granted, there has been intermittent employees that have been an exception, but as a customer and a vegan, whenever I show up they have always been out of their grilled vegetables and corn salsa. Since their rice is not vegan (it has whey in it), that means I just get black beans and a flour tortilla. This location is the only location that won't put the corn salsa and lettuce inside of the burrito. This has happened (being out of items during business hours) at least five times for me. I regularly go to the Franklin and Meridian Mall locations and never have these issues. I complained about the issues on their website and....crickets. No response at all.

Always end up waiting 5-10 minutes even with no line. Workers will look at you and not help or say anything. If you go through the drive through you will end up with the wrong food. When you do get served inside the food is good just bad customer service

Obviously nobody reads reviews if they are still coming to this location. Absent ownership shows. Poor customer service. Lack of fulfilling orders. Go anywhere else but here.

I haven’t been to Café Rio in a long time because my orders kept getting messed up The service wasn’t wonderful. But I went through a drive-through today and I met a gentleman who was so so kind and did a fantastic job making my food and helping with the accommodations. I am extremely impressed and the food was delicious! I wish that I caught his name. He did an absolutely wonderful job thank you very much

I am so tired of the Kuna location messing up our order. They are rude and always late. Our order is always missing something. The portion sizes have gotten so small. We pay extra for like steak and they give you almost nothing. It's run by an absolute joke of a team, they never own up to their mistakes.

Dietary restrictions: They NEVER have corn tortillas and are so rude when you asked for them, they treat you like you are a major inconvenience, a few times they have just said they will not make them.

We moved back to Kuna recently and although we are huge Cafe Rio fans, we had been avoiding this location because of the reviews. Please don’t hesitate to eat here. We have ordered here at least a dozen times now, and other than a couple missed drinks on the kids meals, their service has been fantastic. The manager is really working hard to provide a good experience. We just ate here last night and saw a bunch of new faces behind the counter, everyone had good attitudes and were helpful. The food quality and portion size has been good at every one of our visits, and we are pretty picky. Like any restaurant they can get busy. I recommend you give them a chance, they seem to be putting in the work to proving a great place to eat here in Kuna.

Like most reviewers, we have had multiple bad experiences but kept giving them the benefit of the doubt. Until tonight. We placed a mobile order to be ready at 4:20pm. Two items. We showed up exactly at 4:20 and there was only one other customer in there paying, and one other mobile order on the screen. I sat there for 30 mins as I watched 8+ employees do absolutely anything other than prepare my order. I told my name to 3 separate people and they each just went in the back and didn't help me. At one point, one other customer did come in and they helped them in the line. Whats the point of a mobile order?? I am so confused and annoyed. After FINALLY being acknowledged by one of the employees, she said they needed to make the grilled vegetables for my salad (and a lady in the back was getting out a pan). At that point I told her to just give me the salad without it so I could finally leave. She offered me a free drink but we already bought one with our order. Of course, when we got home we noticed they forgot the additional salsa and dressing we requested on the side. SO disappointed! I love cafe rio so you can bet I’ll drive to meridian now anytime I want it or just go to Costa vida.

Absolutely great service by both employees Kyler, and Audrey. Their professionalism and great service was absolutely amazing in every way shape and form and I highly recommend customers to come back to this store and enjoy the food and the great service. Big 10 out of 10 review hands-down awesome day.

My big is issue is spending money on a soupy bowl of food. I ordered a protein bowl and everything was covered including lettuce in a soupy liquid. It wasn’t edible at all. It was so bad. A waste of money.
My husbands enchiladas were great though-as for why I did 3 stars. They had good flavor and the enchiladas were covered in sauce but they didn’t sog the tortillas!

I’m sorry but we’ve given this restaurant about 5 different times over 2 years to actually get an order correct and with quality and NOT ONCE did the food taste good, have everything we ordered, or made correctly. We’ve just decided as a family the Cafe Rio in Kuna is NEVER an option for a place to eat. It’s unfortunate because we don’t have MANY options in Kuna. I would love if a restaurant with quality and good customer service could replace this one.

I’ve been to this location 3 times and every time it’s disappointing. Food is just okay, it takes forever to make, staff seems confused and they act like they don’t want to be there.
