Thank you so much for hosting our big hockey party and making it so easy for us to get an area as well as ordering food. Food was tasty and serves was great.

I’ve always liked this place. Went to have drinks and dinner along steak bites, baked potato and salad. The steak bites were burnt and the potato was cold. When I went to pay, there’s an extra fee for using a card. Not many people have cash on them these days. Made a comment to the bartender and he got really rude. Said he uses cash all the time because of his tips. Most people don’t make a tip - seems like a rip off because most people will be using a card. Don’t nickel and dime people, the price should be the price.

The Mill Steakhouse is everything you want in a classic McCall dinner spot. The atmosphere has that perfect old-school steakhouse vibe which we loved.

Our server, Jamie, was fantastic. The food came out hot and delicious. Steaks were cooked to perfection, the salmon was divine, and the clam chowder was a hit with the kids. Drinks were cold and all was great after a day in the mountains.

A solid, satisfying meal.

I had not been here in 10 years. We would always go on work trips. I took my team here last night excited to experience what we once did. We were so disappointed. It must be under new ownership. Like many failing restaurants do, they cheapened the quality. Food was overall bad. Steaks ordered medium rare were well done. My filet resembled a sirloin. The salmon was dry. All this after waiting 40 minutes. This place needs to be shut down. We will never go back unless we hear it has new ownership. Our server was nice as a positive.

Everything about our experience at The Mill was disappointing. This was our Honeymoon weekend, and I remember going to The Mill 10+ years ago and it being "THE PLACE" to eat in McCall, reservations required, but worth every penny. No longer the case. There were only about 15 people total in the whole establishment, and roughly 6 people in the bar. The server was too busy taking smoke breaks with her boyfriend to accommodate us, and coming back in reeking of cigarettes didn't exactly do anything for our appetite. We finally walked next door to get ourselves a second drink. We ordered dinner and one appetizer. The appetizer came out fairly promptly, but it was just thrown on the plate, not visually appealing whatsoever. Our main course took forever, only for it to come out cold and subpar. To be honest, my guess is it sat under the heat lamp while the waitress flirted with her boyfriend. On top of that, she never asked us how we wanted our steak cooked, and the baked potato wasn't even warm enough to melt the butter or the cheese. We did finally get the waitress to ask if we wanted another drink, but then she used her boyfriends pocket knife to cut the limes and she did not wash it first. Including the drinks (4 total) our meal came to $150. That was the most begrudging $150 we've spent on a meal in a LONG time, and we will NOT be returning.

Server was great and attentive. Food was awful. It was like buffet food, lettuce was old, croutons stale, blue cheese dressing had no blue cheese, steak was cooked like I asked but full of grissle (and way overpriced), halibut was from a frozen box. There is more but bottom line, very disappointed!!

We’ve had good food in the past but had horrible service recently. Our food was cold and not good this time. The waitress couldn’t have cared less that we weren’t happy. The bartender and hostess tried to do everything they could to try and make it a better experience but didn’t have the support from the other staff. It’s too bad the owners don’t care that they keep getting bad reviews because they all knew this is a problem. Spend your money somewhere else!

Just dined there tonight. I was very shocked by some of the previous reviews so I prayed before my food came out😂
I was pleasantly surprised, the french dip I ordered was very tasty and was fresh. My husband also enjoyed his burger. We did feel the menu was a little overpriced, but I was relieved that the food was good. The server was very helpful and attentive. I’m not sure what’s happening to this place because it was empty besides us on a Sunday evening. I think the bad reviews have scared off some people. Trust me when I say the food was good! I serve only home made and most of the time gourmet food at home, my family is very picky when it comes to food. I hope they pick up their customer base again. The atmosphere was wonderful. The dinner by the fire was a one of a kind experience.

Arrived at 5pm. Their Google listing says they are open at 5. They in-fact do not open until 5:30pm. Atmosphere is super unique but that will be all you’re getting if you dine here. Our server was nice. Our food was pretty awful. A $60 ribeye that tasted like cardboard, fake calamari for $18 that looked like mozzarella sticks. Bread was good. Oh, and I let the staff know when we arrived that there was no soap in the women’s restroom, I went into the men’s to wash my hands. An hour and 15 minutes later there was still no soap in the women’s restroom, pretty gross. Pass on this spot.

Awful dinner. Ordered tenderloin steaks and a lobster tail. Steaks were way overcooked and lobster was not hot and very overpriced. There was no one else dining at 6:00 pm. The drinks were watered down as well. We used to love the Mill years ago. This was nothing like the old Mill.
