The food that I ordered was great. This is not a fast food restaurant but I feel our food came just in time. The decor is perfect for this area. I will definitely go back.

I will start this review with the good, the bartender was attentive, nice, and honestly great. Ive never had a truly poor experience at a restaurant until I went to The Mill and it was truly bad.
To start, it took nearly an hour to sit a group of nine after calling 20 minutes early and 3 other people in the restaurant. An empty restaurant and an hour wait after 20 minute heads up. Bartender took care of us very well during this hour wait, so this was not too bad.
After being seated, there was no complimentary bread because it was stale and they had not made any this day. So a couple of us had what would turn out to be the best thing of the night, the butter.
Within a 45 seconds of being seated we were asked if we were ready to order our entrees, the tablecloth was already dirty and wrinkled, and the bathroom trashes were full.
The salads were fine, but the entrees were a whole other deal. Every entree was probably priced 3-4 times higher than what they should be and a restaurant that wants to price themselves as fine dining should actually be fine dining.
Fish and chips were ridiculously burnt and black at some parts, and the fries on everyone's entree were maybe a 5.5/10. Mac and cheese was Kraft Mac and cheese with parmesean on top. The burgers were ok, but still over 25$ for something far far far worse than red robin.
I ordered a new York steak medium rare, came out 50% well done, and 50% medium well, not even joking half the steak was cooked way more than the other half, don't even know how that's possible. Friend ordered a prime rib rare, came out looking like one of Shaquille o Neil's shoes. Massive, overcooked and grey. Another friend ordered a shrimp scampi for 42$, and they received 8 pieces of shrimp, no pasta, no bread nothing else. The garnish for all these dishes was a single piece of carrot, and 2 kale leaves, not even edible. Baked potatoes were depressing, looked boiled, and just incredibly mediocre.
We were comped 3 pieces of cake and the shrimp scampi (didn't even bother to eat it, just sent it back) The New York was supposed to be comped, but ended up being charged for it anyways, but I didn't even care at this point in the dinner, we all just wanted to leave.
So just to reiterate, bar tender was great, other service was questionable, place was empty and somehow unkempt, and the food was bad and priced 3-4 times higher than it should be for the quality. I would recommend quite literally any other restaurant in mccall or the surrounding area than this place. So incredibly dissappointed.

awesome place. highly recommend
Was not very impressed and food is grossly over priced. $20 for 8 cheesesticks!!! The Alaskan King Crab meal was $100, the crab was cold, the "butter" tasted like vegetable oil, and the baked potato was hard and either undercooked or microwaved for far to long. They don't have the price of the crab dinner listed on the menu, instead it says market value. We'll they increase market value by 250%. My husband said that his $47 ribeye and fries was good. Check was $190 for 2 people. The atmosphere was fun. Old west style and a large fire pit in the center of the waiting area and bar. Had live music with someone playing the keyboard they have in the waiting area. The service was pretty good, though it seemed like one hand didn't know what the other was doing. Being completely honest, most likely will not return there again.

The whole thing was a terrible experience. Extremely over priced. Kids meals are $20? My salad was made with iceberg lettuce! It took an hour and a half to get us our meal. The only positive about our experience was the waitress. She was so kind and apologetic. Sent us all home with dessert for free. But even that was terrible. We threw it all away and didn’t take any leftovers home with us. The food wasn’t even good. My steak was rubbery, pasta was tasteless. Fries were soggy. Don’t even get me started on the live music. It was a guy pounding on the piano and couldn’t even hit the right notes. It was more of an annoyance. Such a disappointing experience. We should have walked out.

Our party of 6 had reservations at 6:45 pm. We arrived at 6:40 and were greeted by the hostess. She asked us to hold on a second, then another person approached and said our table would not be ready for at least 30 minutes. We told her we made reservations and she very rudely said well your early. By this time it was past 6:45.
We all took a seat in the bar and ordered beverages. Approximately 45 minutes later the hostess said our table was ready but she was told not to seat us so the give the kitchen had time to catch up. Which is upsetting as we watched many tables get seated and order which we found out had reservations later than us. Another half hour went by and we were seated. It has now been over an hour since our reservation.
Waitress came quickly and took our orders. An hour later the actual chef came out and explained his new cooks messed up the bake potatoes and would be at least 30 minutes to get new ones. He asked if we would all accept fried potato squares and he would have all the meals out in 5 minutes, so we all agreed. Well 40 minutes later the food was brought out.
The steaks were all over done and those potatoes were hard as rocks and extra crispy. We pointed this out to the waitress and she went and got the manager. The manager was most of the rude people we have ever dealt with. Her answer was to start over and have the chef redo the meals. Are you kidding me, wait over another hour. Not a chance. Words got said and tones got loud. We told her we have waited over 2 1/2 hours and are hungry. She then said she would comp the meals if we wanted. If we wanted?? That’s the least she could do and we said yes.
A young busgirl then came out and asked who is getting their meals compensated. We said the manager is comping them all. She then started to pick up everyone’s plates. We asked what are you doing and her reply was that her manager told her to gather any meal that wanted to be comped. Confused, the tone got a little loud again and the manager who was watching this whole thing came over and asked if we had a problem. The simple answer was “yes”. The manager said we could not eat anything if she was going to compensate it.
We just got up and all left. Still hungry by the way!
Now there is a manger that I am sure got her job from experience 🤔
I really hope the owners read this.

We have been going to McCall snowmobiling for the past 40 years. We usually have one evening out for dinner at The Mill. Last time we ate there, which was 4 years ago, the service was poor, and the food was average at best. Before that, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. So we thought we’d try it again this year, OMG, never again. We were seated at our table at 7:30 pm. We never got our food until 9:10 pm. But at 8:45, they seated another group close to us. Within 2 minutes, they had their salads, and 15 minutes later, they were served their food. I mentioned this to the waitress, she said that should never have happened, and apologized. But they still added an automatic gratuity of $120 to our bill. We had 6 adults, and 3 kids, and the total bill was almost $700! Stay away!!!
Amazing
This place has gone down hill!
