Very noisy. We couldn't talk at our table because of the noise level. Waitstaff was stretched too thin; I didn't get the glass of wine I ordered until I was done with my meal. Will probably not go back.
Unfortunately another disappointing experience at Rupert's. The last time we went to Rupert's for my husband's 50th birthday they did absolutely nothing to acknowledge it and when I brought that to their attention the response was “the host was in training and didn't relay to the server”. We decided to go back for my birthday and once again, no acknowledgment of my birthday by the server. The 4 top table next to us was also celebrating a birthday which their server immediately acknowledged upon greeting them and then later during their visit it appeared the manager who knew them came over and also greeted them and wished a happy birthday. My husband did talk to someone during our meal after observing all the birthday wishes for the other table so at the end after we didn't order dessert they brought a two bite brownie with a fun sparkler but it felt like it was done out of obligation since he had to go to them and tell them they failed on a special occasion again. My career was in hospitality and even under the new management company Rupert's unfortunately is still missing the mark. Unless of course you are friends with the staff then they do seem to extend hospitality and try to create a nice experience.
Food was great. We ordered an appetizer and drinks about halfway through that we ordered salads and dinner. Before we could finish the appetizers all the food was delivered. Salad and dinner about 1 minute apart. If we go again we will wait to order. It seemed that they want you out of there as soon as possible to fill the table again. We did have reservations and arrived early. We were seated right away. Again the food was great but the service definitely lacking.
Delicious food and drinks - very busy night being Valentine's Day. Seated at the bar for a few minutes while waiting for the guests at our table to vacate and table to be cleaned and set. Bartender seemed maybe a bit flustered. Gluten Free elk meatloaf was delicious, also had good GF dessert options.
Terrible house made steak sauce

Everything had great flavor. Then whipped feta and Brussels were great starters. My wife had the meatloaf, which was great. I had the pork chop, which tasted good, but was overly dry.
We requested a table up against the window for a lake view (Anniversary Dinner) a few weeks in advance. WE arrived to a prime table with epic views and very attentive service. The sparkler at dessert was a nice touch :)
Food was good. Service was strange. It was like a hurry and wait situation. Would have gotten more drinks if it were faster, but we just didn't see the waiter that often. 2 hour dinner.
Very, very, disappointed our king fish was so fishy was not fresh tasted old, the drinks holy cow order margaritas was pure lime. Two of us order the same menu king fish didn't eat it very disappointed was told about this place was best 5 of usually come through and eat her but today very disappointed

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Dining Experience at Rupert's!
Our recent visit to Rupert's at Hotel McCall was nothing short of spectacular. From start to finish, every dish was a culinary delight.
We began with the Bacon Ranch Shrimp Scampi appetizer - a flavor explosion that left us craving more of that delicious bacon and garlic sauce. Pro tip: Ask for extra bread to soak up every last drop!
The entrees were the true stars of the evening:
- The seasonal Market Fresh Fish (King Salmon) was cooked to perfection.
- The day's special, Swordfish on a corn chowder, was an absolute masterpiece - I couldn't imagine a more delicious combination.
- The Maple Mustard Glazed Elk Meatloaf was a standout. Incredibly moist and flavorful, paired with smoked cheddar onion mashed potatoes and bacon-rosemary gravy. A must-try for anyone visiting Rupert's.
We capped off our meal with two heavenly desserts: the butterscotch pot de crème and the chocolate bomb. Both were the perfect sweet ending to an outstanding meal.
Our server, Zach, deserves special mention. His attentiveness, knowledge, and impeccable timing elevated our dining experience even further.
Whether you're a hotel guest or a local, Rupert's at Hotel McCall is a culinary gem not to be missed. It's clear why this restaurant is a standout in McCall's dining scene. We'll definitely be back on our next visit!

Love the location and ambience of Rupert's, plus their staff is very attentive and good. However, I do have to say I was disappointed in the meals we had at our table. Two of us had the fresh/market fish which was King Salmon. The salmon was prepared medium which was great, plus it was flavorful, however the sides that came with this dish were not good at all. The artichoke dip smear was cold and unappealing plus the quinoa salad was more of a green salad with a little bit of quinoa sprinkled over it- not what I think of when offered a quinoa salad. The other members at our table had the steak entree (the $40-something one) which was mostly prepared to order. Both came medium instead of one medium and one medium-rare. The steaks were flavorful but thin and the potato patty that came with it had a gluey/gummy texture that was off-putting. For the price one pays, I would expect better side dishes and thicker steaks. Probably won't eat there again, at least for a while.
We love Rupert in McCall. However, on this particular evening, my husband and I were a little offset by the rudeness of the entire staff, except for one young male bartender. Our waiter Zack could've cared less about us and made that pretty clear. The food was delicious. Disappointing experience.
The food, service, and setting is amazing here. Not very quiet if that’s what you’re looking for but me and my family all throughly enjoyed our time at Rupert’s. Highly recommend!
Kid-friendliness: Our 4 and 5 year old loved the fish off the kids menu and they even subbed the mashed potatoes for butter noodles. Thank you! ??
