Hoot owl is a staple in northern idaho. If you serve portions this big it's really hard to get below 4 stars. Always tasty, always affordable. The folks here are real nice too. Give these guys your money

Just a fun place and great food with fantastic people. I love the veggie sandwich. I'm not vegetarian but it's just so good. The iced tea is always fresh. The portions are huge. I have not ever finished- I always have a ton left for my next meal. They are also amazing for the community. One of my favorite places to eat.

We stopped for breakfast on New Year’s Day. Everyone was friendly and happy. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband’s gravy was hot and yummy. The eggs were favorable and cooked just right.

I was told I couldn't have breakfast after twelve thirty, And and I ordered the chicken sandwich. That had a way too much baby spinach on it. They wasted spinach, They forgot my fries and my ranch to dip it in. Definitely was not the Hoot Owl that I remember. It felt like they could care less if I was or not. After I got my meal the people Came in and sat in the were served breakfast. But I couldn't make me feel like I ever wanted to go back. And the gentleman that rang me up was quite rude

This place has so much personality. The staff were friendly and kind, and we were shocked at how great the food was! I had an omelette with pot roast - that was a new one for me and WOW was it excellent!

Love the nostalgic atmosphere. Real American diner feel. Building has lots of history and character. Food was good, large servings and hearty home made taste. Suitable for the place, I just prefer more quality to quantity.I would return and try some other dishes. Friendly and speedy service.
