Simply Pho and Bubble Tea Bar

Terrible experience! We got there a half hour before they closed so we figured we had enough time to eat, we were wrong. Five minutes after it closed a guy came out from the back which I'm guessing was the cook or manager... He had a gun on his side and told us we had to leave. We were almost done eating anyways but he couldn't wait another five minutes for us to finish. He proceeded to raise his voice towards me and said I ignored their sign on the door stating not to dine in after a certain time. I tried to tell him I saw no such sign and he insisted that I did and he had it on camera. Truth is I really did not see the sign. Anyhow we left after feeling threatened and insulted. On top of that the food was not even good. The teriyaki chicken was dry and over cooked and the rice was also dry. My wife got the Pho and she said it was just mediocre, nothing worth going back for. I will not ever go back to this establishment and I do not recommend it.

Low quality food at too high a price, will not return

The tables had been wiped down but clearly not any of the condiments or napkin holders. The bubble tea was really nice, but the pho came out nearly cold. By the time I was halfway through my bowl it was completely cold.

It’s not what it used to be! Dirty dirty dirty!! Our dishes were dirty, floors and tables were dirty. Pho broth had no flavor other than sweet, my daughter’s rice was mushy and teriyaki was pure sugar. Bean sprouts were way past expiration. Not sure if ownership changed or if it got sloppy. We looked forward to our lunch but after todays experience…collectively decided to not go back!

Good food & service. My kids love the drinks. But we may not be back because the everything is just dirty, sticky not okay in the dining room.
Can’t image that the kitchen is better.

FILTHY! EXPENSIVE! RUDE SERVICE!
Girl up front was cleaning her nails when we walked in then went straight to making one of the two drinks we ordered. Never got the second drink. All condiments on the table were empty. Order was wrong. Floor… to table… to spoons were all filthy. Way over priced. Bean sprouts were gooey and they always seem to be out of ingredients. We have tried this place at least 4/5 times and our kids like it but we just can’t go back again. It’s so beyond disgusting. Guess I need to learn to make pho myself

Great place for a bowl of pho. Got a takeout for my wife and I to share. Perfect meal to share and looking forward to dining in.

It was all in its separate containers to assemble and enjoy when we got home. Flavorful broth that made it perfect for a cool day outside.

Inside where we sat utensils were dirty empty condiment tray. Ask for the vegetarian bowl because it came with a different assortment of vegetables they explained to us that ordering the chicken bowl would be easier because we wanted to add chicken. Received their food and asked where all the vegetables were and she explained to us that they hadn't got their order yet and the only thing that was in our bowl was cabbage and onion. It was missing Thai Basil carrots bok choy all the things that you expect and need in a pho dish manager did not want to compensate or come up with a solution. We also ate the fresh rolls it was iceberg lettuce mostly there was no Thai basil we are very disappointed. The waitress offered to talk to the manager he did not want to do anything about it it was not her fault she did well. "We will never eat there again"!

This is my favorite restaurant in Sandpoint, and I go here every chance I get. The food is delicious and so are the drinks. The people here are always happy to help with anything, service is fast, and the atmosphere is great. I've lived in Sandpoint nearly my whole life and out of all of the businesses I've seen come and go, I know this one isn't going anywhere. My highest recommended place.

Food is fantastic and authentic tasting, however service is horrible. Rudest people I have ever bought food from.

We ordered pho and asked for extra meat in only 1 bowl.

We were not asked if we wanted drinks or water, when the chef brought the food out I asked the chef which bowl had the extra meat, she said “both bowls do”, I replied “we only ordered it on one bowl”. She rudely replied, “well the waitress told me it was both bowls and turned to leave” to which I said, “huh aight” and shrugged, it’s only 3$ so no worries right.

We waited for a while and the waitress didn’t show up, so we ate for 20 min or so, finally I went up to the counter and asked if we could get waters and I mentioned that we had only ordered extra meat in one bowl, to which she instantly and flatly replied, “did you eat it”? And I said ya, she instantly replied with “then you gotta pay for it”.

Lol, ?, well ya we did eat it cause we were hungry and figured its just a mistake they made, and I’ve never been charged for a mistake made by the staff at a restaurant. But it’s only 3$, who cares, but I was just shocked at the rudeness and instant hostile mentality.

I do food reviews and love taking pics and videos of my food so I was taking some pics and videos of my food and granted I was so shocked at the rudeness of it all so I was talking to my camera about it and the chef came out and told me I was not allowed to video due to the waitress being a minor. (Good point, glad she pointed that out).

We paid and left without another word.

So we left the store and I was doing a selfie video outside, the chef came outside and was taking pics and video of me, very hostile. So we just left.

I’ve never experienced such rudeness so fast, and such hostility over 3$ of extra meat, (granted their large pho bowls are not that large, and they charge 17.99 +3$ for extra meat, and there is barely any meat in the bowls to start with).

We won’t be going back, sadly I doubt they would even let us back with them being so hostile and rude.

So if you go just make sure to be clear on what you order, if the wrong item or extra items come out, DONT eat it, flag down someone and send it back, or just pay for it. I should never have asked about it or questioned them, they quickly escalated the situation with their defensiveness and rudeness.
I was calm the entire time and simply asked questions.

Must be right times when you gotta lose customers over something so small. ?‍♂️?
