This place is on par if not better than Mexican food from Texas and California. The salsa is on a different level, the street tacos are fantastic, and the chimichanga was probably the best I've had. The servers we spoke to were all very nice as well. If you're in the area I would highly recommend.

El Ranchero is a great place to grab some authentic Mexican cuisine. Service a bit impersonal - almost like we were somewhat of an inconvenience, yet it was just my husband and myself. Don’t let our experience stop you from trying the delicious food they plate up. Yummy!

A great, and authentic place. The evening I dropped in was quite busy and our dinner took quite a while to come out. By a while I mean over 40 minutes. If it wasn't for that, I'd give 5 stars. Staff was great, and so was the food, once it arrived.

Good food and great prices! Super large portions. I was impressed with the authenticity of the place, which was honestly unexpectedly good. Service was prompt, if not the friendliest.Plenty of seating indoors and everything was clean! Enchiladas verdes were superb.

When it gets busy, service gets slack. Get there early and you'll be fine. Menu is generally robust with an item or two I can't recommend. I'm still going back till I home in on my perfect dish. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant for now.

What a wonderful surprise to experience Really Good Mexican food! The Carne Asada was tender, char grilled & delicious! As was the fresh guacamole & pico de gallo My husband's Chili Relleno was cooked to perfection, crispy & great flavor! . Everything was fresh & delish! Service was fantastic! Thank you!
Hands down best Mexican in town and one of the best restaurants in post falls period. My wife and I eat here a lot, usually take out but sometimes we sit in. The food is always good, the proportions are big and the staff is the best, everybody there I've interacted with is friendly and helpful and it's clear they are proud of their establishment.

We love coming here! This might be my new favorite Mexican place around. The green enchilada sauce is to die for, it's so good. And the complimentary salsas they have? Don't get me started. I could eat here every day for a week without getting sick of it. Plus, the waitstaff are all so quick and so friendly, it really makes me and my small family feel like we belong. So glad we were nudged in this direction--I'm already drooling at the thought of more enchiladas!

The food was pretty good as was the service. The food was a bit more of the gringo side, but not bad. The restaurant décor itself is a little older, but decent. Overall I would come again and would recommend giving it a shot.

The owner Juan has a huge love for family, and it shows through his generations of family recipes. This place has the best all around authentic Mexican food.
