It is a very pretty place to eat. Has nice view of Creek and mountains. The food was OK nothing amazing. Staff was friendly. Make reservation so you can eat outside. OK place to eat if tou are in the area. I wouldn't make a special trip to eat there.

How did this restaurant not make the Kitchen Nightmares lineup? I can’t begin to describe how vile the food was. We made the mistake of visiting with our family on Saturday August 2nd 2025, and by Sunday, most of the people in our family had food poisoning. The overprice meat was frozen. Frozen Chicken. Frozen steak. Why would ANYONE pay $28.00 for a frozen, bland steak? For the view? For a greasy scone? Here’s a tip. Save your money and go to McDonalds. Yuck.

14 of us celebrated our friend's birthday at this wonderful venue! The patio backs up to the rushing river & hillside and the ambience is magical! Highly recommended for a special occasion or anytime. Broasted chicken dinner was yummy. And those scones...oh so good! Service was excellent! All 14 meals were brought to the table one right after another which is challenging to do. Our group visits this area every summer and we will be making dinner at the Deer Cliff Inn an annual event. Thank you Deer Cliff Inn for a wonderful evening.

The atmosphere is cute for being out in the mountains. There’s a river running by. I didn’t like my meal. I got the T-bone steak and added an extra prawn. The prawn was dry and chewy like it had been sitting in the freezer for a while. I also asked for medium rare and got medium well. We got a great window view of the river until we noticed dead bugs in the window sill—
Also be aware there is no service. So bring cash. The service itself was fine but there was one server for a bunch of us so it was slower. My husband got the trout and he enjoyed that.

Relaxing dining on the patio with live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Right next to Cub River, beautiful trees and great food! Nothing better than this.

You come here for the ambiance! They didn't have entertainment that Friday which I was sad about. But the river is gorgeous. The hot buttered scones were the best part! I got the chicken and shrimp combo. The shrimp was good and crispy, but there were just two pieces. The chicken had crispy skin too and was fine. Husband got the fresh trout. It was good. Fries were fine. The twice baked potato was actually just mashed potatoes, haha. Overall I'd go back. And you can smell the lilac tree . ($19 for mine and $18 for his).
