Our first experience and probably our last. Sitting outside in uncomfortable chairs and tables that aren't leveled so they shake all over, spilling food and drinks. The food was sub-par. Burger was very mustard heavy, and the lettuce was black! Yes, black! Fries were soggy and not very good, even after we asked for them to be extra crispy. Don't get me started on the menu up in the sky that is so small, you can't read it. (Mounted TVs very high up)

This place was SO good! I loved the vibe and the atmosphere. The fries were the perfect balance of crunchy and soft, the chicken and burgers tasted so fresh and the drink and shake? Mmm. So delicious. I also loved the music and the 50’s atmosphere. It was so perfectly crafted to create a fun atmosphere. It was a little pricey for what it was, in my opinion, but it was so good that that won’t deter me from splurging once again to eat here.

What a great little restaurant! It has the style of a 50s restaurant and plays classic 50 tunes. The fries are cooked to perfection where they are soft in the middle and slight crispy on the exterior creating a golden yellow masterfully salted fry in the mouth. The soda combinations are great with mixtures that are rival soda companies. But when combined and collaborated together is creates a delicious taste in the mouth. The shakes as well are incredible. Not too over the top sugar consumption and has a perfect amount of sweetness that doesn’t kill the senses. A little more expensive than I wanted it to be, but we would absolutely go again if we have the chance.

Polar Bear Burgers and Shakes is a surprisingly top-tier spot if your main mission is ice cream. 🍦 Their cones are insanely creamy and rich, and the price is straight-up unbeatable—like, you get major bang for your buck. The environment is low-key cozy and welcoming, giving off that small-town charm without feeling cramped. Staff are super friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel smooth and effortless. Honestly, even if you’re not hungry for a burger, stopping by just for the ice cream is 100% worth it—perfect spot to chill, grab a sweet treat, and enjoy some good vibes.👍

Every time I am in the area I have to stop and get some of their ice cream! This time I had their shake with Reese’s cups and it was only $4!

Oh where do I even start! Polar Bear is hands down the best restaurant in northern Utah add southern Idaho! Their staff is the finest I’ve seen, they always give me a reason to come back. My favorite thing to get is their grilled chicken wrap and a recess cup shake! They have a wide variety of food options in their menu! Even for vegans and vegetarians! My food is always made on time and made perfect! Never had a single issue coming here! Bring your friends and your family for a great meal!!

Visiting out of town, amazing service. I forgot to ask for cheese on my burger and they took care of it no problem. Super friendly, clean, and food was tasty!

The fries where great, but when it came to the burger the lettuce tasted as if it was going/or was bad, if it wasn't for the lettuce rateing would be higher

We had a great meal that day.
Passing on by, we had to make a stop and get something to eat. The 🍔 's are fantastic. The building is pretty cool looking too.

Burgers were awesome. Fries were good. But, The heaters hanging down from the roof were way to hot. It felt like your face was going to melt. We had to move to a place where there was no heaters. Those things should be called human air fryers. Employees were nice.

Like others that formerly lived in Preston a trip to Poler Bear felt a must for the nostalgia. However I can't say I'll ever be back. There is only outdoor seating, which would be okay if they would actually close the wind screens so the heat the heaters are putting of would actually warm you! For a barely breezy December night the dining experience left much to be desired. Throughout the time it took our group to place 4 large orders and multiple times asking if the screens could be lowered the answers we received kept changing. The most common theme was "I'll ask", with the final answer never coming back us to the customers. The food was good, but the interactions with the staff were not. I will take my business to the other end of town next time. Polar Bear misses the mark with no indoor seating in a cold climate 6 months out of the year 👎
Mmmmmm good food.

Every time I come here, I'm reminded of why I don't eat here. I keep giving it another shot, but I don't know why. This most recent visit was today, 12/10/2025 at 6:50ish pm. There was no one there when we arrived. Pulled up to the drive thru window to get our order and there were 4 young girls in the front completely ignoring me, talking and goofing off. One of them walked over and took my payment and I asked for a honey mustard to be put in the bag (nicely), while someone pulled up behind me. They must have known that person because they immediately took the car behind me several drinks and ice cream. Stayed and chatted with them, while completely ignoring me. I sat there for about 10 to 15 minutes and waited. Finally they gave us a bag of food and said bye. I said we haven't received our drink but everyone behind us got their drinks before they even paid. The girl said oh and found my drink sitting there and handed it to me. I felt completely ignored. We got home and there was no honey mustard. My burger was also bear naked (without a bun) and the lettuce they used to wrap it with was black/ brown and wilted. I think I won't come here again. Terrible, slow service. Employees that don't care, have any sense of urgency, or even want to be there. And the food is never great, in every experience I've had. Really sad. I personally have supported the owners and management in every way possible for events, grand openings, you name it.

What a great place! I’m be of the best burgers and fries you will find anywhere and not overly priced. Services was great, and the outdoor seating was comfy even on a cool December evening. Will definitely be back soon!!
