We came to the town for three days and we ate at AJ’s everyday. The food and service were excellent. We will be back again.

What a great little cafe we found! The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting...and the service was friendly. We ordered the crab Benedict with those fabulous potato pancakes!

We loved this place 2 years ago. However, have noticed a steady decline, since. This weekend, the (new?) server with the black hair forgot simply EVERYTHING that accompanies a takeout order. Had to return and drive back for plasticware with which to eat our food, then, had to return AGAIN for the ketchup for the hashbrowns and, then again for the syrup for the pancakes! We were exhausted by the time we finished driving back multiple times for everything, and the breakfast was like a hard rock in our stomachs from the stress. 27.00 for two basic breakfasts to go. Everything was ice-cold when we finally finished running back and forth across town for all the missing items. The food quality has decreased, as well. It tastes like they are using way cheaper product, and stretching it thin. We always avoided Audrey's over in Newport for this reason. Now, AJ's has this same icky aftertaste. Cheap ingredients taste cheap to the tongue that knows better. I understand costs go up, but quality should not suffer, as a consequence. These cheap, generic eggs, potatoes and gravies are jam packed with chemicals and you can taste them if you've been eating clean food. I guess it's down to what we really need in this community is an all organic place to eat, our lives depend on it. Guess we'll discontinue eating out until that happens in the area.
