Just had the worst meal I have ever had from Cafe Sabor and I am a frequent customer. Ordered ahead and the order took 1 hour from the time I ordered it (not 20 minutes) and they were not busy at the restaurant. Ordered Chicken Tortilla Soup--absolutely no flavor, may 4 strips of chicken and 5 chunks of avocado. Cheese Enchiladas were ordered with extra enchilada sauce. Sauce did not taste right and it was sweet. Everything was lacking salt. The mild salsa tasted like a can of tomato sauce. Very disappointing.

This place has been such an AMAZING addition to Rexburg! Absolutely great Mexican Food with FANTASTIC management and service. We frequent this location often because of the food and service! It’s the unanimous vote for our family ANY time we ask, “where do you all wanna go eat”!
Cafè Sabor- ¿Dondé? Atmosphere was lacking with bright overhead lighting and random dispersed decorations. When we arrived we expected a much different price range based on the atmosphere alone.
Chips were good but nothing special, ours tasted as if they had been under a warmer a bit too long and had become slightly stale. The Salsa tastes like canned tomato paste that has had seasonings added in an attempt to cover up the canned tomato taste.
We had the burrito supreme and were sad at the lack of flavor it held, the chicken in it was dry and the sauce seemed to have dried up and crusted to the plate so we were unable to even really use it. Additionally even though the plate was extremely hot the food was mildly warm and in the middle cold so it seemed like it has been reheated hastily.
It seems like people love the tacos so if we go back we will have to try those.

Luv Sabor! Food is fresh, tasty and comes out beautifully served. The manager, Armando, is attentive and so welcoming- hard to find in places these days- makes you want to be a "regular". We had tacos and fried ice cream and all was delicious! Thank you everyone who works here!

Fresh, warm chips and fresh salsa were served with the menu. I ordered a street taco with beans and rice and indulged in Mexican hot chocolate which was happily not scalding but drinking temperature. I used the slice of lime that came with the street taco on the rice and it added a lovely zip. Then I topped it off with their fried ice cream; very rich. Armando, general manager was professionally attentive. The restaurant clean and comfortable.

We recently dined at Cafe Sabor, and while the food was actually quite good, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor service and an issue with a coupon we tried to use.
The meal itself was enjoyable—our burritos were flavorful and fresh. However, the service left much to be desired. We had to wait a long time for our waters to be refilled, and even then, we only got one refill throughout the entire meal, despite asking multiple times.
To top it off, when we handed over our coupon at the end for a free burrito, we were told that it was only valid for a “supreme burrito.” The coupon didn’t specify any type of burrito, just that it was for a free burrito. This felt like an unfair and frustrating miscommunication, and the staff didn’t seem interested in resolving the issue.
Overall, while the food was great, the service and the way the coupon situation was handled left a sour note on what could have been a much better experience. I’m not sure I’d rush back to Cafe Sabor given the lack of attention to customers and unclear policies.

We were really excited to try a new place but ended up being extremely disappointed. The food was mediocre at best and was pretty bland. The food did come out quickly, which probably speaks to its quality, but other than that the service was pretty terrible. Our water was never refilled and we had to call the staff over in order to be waited on after being walked by many times. We will definitely not be returning.

On 10/14 we arrived at 6:30 where seated promptly then the wait started…. Waited to get drinks and chips waited to place order watched people come n go about 7:20 got our food bill came quickly paid now 7:42 leaving
