The atmosphere was wonderful. Happy friendly workers. My husband ordered Prime Rib medium, Cole slaw, and baked beans. I ordered the fried cod, salad, and Mac and cheese. Also we ordered the sampler platter appetizer. The appetizer was okay. My salad came with my fish and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was very bland and didn't quite fill the dish. The fish tasted kind of like fish sticks. I couldn't eat them. My husband's Prime rib was more than well done. He sent it back and we were informed they now were out. It was replaced with a ribeye, and after waiting 15 minutes, it came out medium well. No manager inter action, all things were on the bill although my fish and Mac and cheese were left on the table uneaten. The bill was $75.69. No compensation was offered. Horrible management, horrible dinner. I should have given my $100 to a homeless person.

I called a half hour earlier to make a reservation. We were seated and then forgotten. It took forever to get an order in. Then they came back and said they were out of what we had ordered. And then it took over an hour to get food. Everyone around us ordered and eat and left before we even were served. Overall, not that great of experience

So disgusting. Went with a party of 10. Everything we ordered was horrendous. Idk why we try it once a year, maybe hoping it's better, but each time we are full of regret. We'd vomit but don't want to taste it again. This last visit solidified us never returning.

This is maybe the second bad review I have ever written on Google but it had to be said..
I ordered a takeout order to go and had to wait over 20 minutes after I received a message stating my food was ready (the food was waiting to be bagged the entire 20 min after I received the message it was ready to be picked up). By the time I got the food it was cold. I also ordered a chicken wrap and they forgot to put the chicken in the wrap so they left the chicken on the side with the fries instead of putting it in the wrap.
I had it on plates because I had to microwave it but here is a picture in all of its glory.
The saddest part is the food definitely could have been good if it was warm/the thing I ordered…??

Had The Hickory cater a wedding event for 40 up at Island Park. They were amazing. Delivery & full service was awesome and perfect. They took care of everything and let us enjoy the dinner. Food was amazing. Can't recommend the brisket, pulled pork, and apple crisp enough.
We also visited the restaurant prior to our event. The meal was excellent with great service. Can't understand some of the negative reviews after our experiences.

It’s such a cute place and the food used to be great. They’ve gone downhill the last several years. They got rid of their sweet potato fries which were basically the best part. And the burger I got was raw in the middle. Such a bummer! Another local place that gave up on their quality control. ?
