My friends and I toured around Coeur de A’lane lake for the day. Stopped in scenic logging town of St Marie for lunch. Ended up at the Grub Box to pick up some sandwiches to go. First, interacting w the staff(and owner) was great. One of us had some complicated ideas; not a problem (“you just tell us what you need, we can come up w a solution”). I truly enjoy working w practical professionals w a knack for handling tourists! Really nice folks.
Our food was also great. I had the BLT melt special. Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations but the sandwich turned out to be a real treat. Pan fried to a really nice crisp. My companions had similar experience w their orders. Overall, if this place was close to home, I’d be there all the time. If I lived in Spokane or Coeur d’Lane, it would be worth the drive for that BLT melt.

Thanks for a great lunch. You guys never disappoint. Even when it snows 😁
$45 for two French dips - one with an order of (frozen) fries, the other came with soggy potato chips. The Grub Box is more expensive than most places in Cda, but not nearly as good. When asked if I wanted my mushrooms and onions grilled, I was under the impression that the sandwiches came with them. I was later told that those items cost extra. Weird, because I never even asked for them. This place is a tourist trap, and the to-go menus are 5 years out of date. Never again...

Great food and atmosphere for small town life. Good sandwiches made with fresh ingredients. Service was good. Server took care of our order in a prompt manner. Prices are reasonable.

Very friendly staff, prompt service and food was great! I had the meat lovers which is a meatloaf sandwich, my wife had the unforgettable which is turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich and my son got the club. We were all very happy with our choises and would recommend to anyone!

Me and my dad come here all the time when we have to run errands in St. Maries, it's a good little café with really good food, and the staff here are really kind.
Nice little sandwich shop. Price is right and friendly staff
One of the top eateries in town.
Just happened upon this place because we were traveling through St. Maries- wow! I really like the portion sizes (when you order a sandwich, you get a sandwich, not something huge you can't finish). Prices are a bit high, but they are everywhere. Give this place a try, great food and wonderful service.

I always ask locals when looking for a restaurant when traveling. We were told about the Grub Box and what a great recommendation. The menu had many new and interesting offers. Service was excellent and the place was spotless. Highly recommend this little gem when in the area.

We came in for lunch after driving 8 hour's. The staff was extremely RUDE. They acted like we inconvenienced them. The food was way over priced for the portions that were served. I would not recommend and will not be returning.
