Great local spot to spot by downtown. We came in after skiing and they had live band setting up downstairs (all those tables were full). We got a spot upstairs near the shuffle board no problem. Very cool local vibe - we will be back.

I'll start with the good and say the staff is very friendly. Clean place and old charm.
This is one of those places that's been around for so long, it has loyalty. The food however, is nothing special. Fish and chips were dry/overcooked, but even if they weren't, it was just standard frozen fish put in a deep fryer. Breeding seemed factory. Fries oversalted terribly. Curry was ok, but again nothing to write home about.
You would think for the prices the quality would be much better, but it's standard Sysco quality.
We tried to come here once before and after an hour waiting on appetizers, we cancelled the order and left. They were not busy tonight and it still took a long time to get the food out. We were sure based on reviews and prices that it would be worth it. Bottom line, there are far better places to eat in town such as The Fat Pig, the forge pizza, Otara brewery Indian food, and more.

I can't say much for the food, since my boyfriend and I spent 10 minutes sitting at the bar, trying to signal the bartender, and went completely ignored. So much for Oktoberfest here, we ended up leaving to find somewhere with actual service. It wasn't even packed, he just wasn't paying any attention to the far side of the bar. At all.

Really great place. Food was amazing, great drink selection, great staff and service, and they do live music regularly. What more could you want?
Best spot in town - also perfect for hosting a wedding reception. Congratulations! 🍻
But seriously, This was one of my favorite places when I lived here. Eich's is exactly how a small town pub should feel, and it exudes charm from every aspect.
