We went there for takeout and the owner/chef loudly announced for us to hear that he didn't want take out orders and that the noodle dish we ordered was a pain to make. We asked the server when we got there if they did take out and she said yes. Guess he didn't want our business. We walked out because if he's not interested in customers than what's his food quality like? I should also mention we were the only customers at the time. The place was empty.

Worst sushi ever, I've tried it twice with the same result beginning with the rice even I can make better sushi than this

Food was eh... not horrible, not great. Service was eh... not horrible, not great. The server looks over your shoulder while you select her tip amount on an iPad... that was weird. The chef (maybe owner?) was talking down to his server. (loud enough for us to hear and feel awkward about it.) The floor, tables, and old fabric chairs were stained and had crumbs all over them. They serve you tap water... it tasted like chlorine. It's a little expensive for what you get... but I know fish is generally expensive... so... Overall, we were in North Idaho eating sushi. I have realistic expectations... but... will I go back to this place over some other potential options? Probably not. If they could at least nail down food quality, filtered water (basic), and a generally clean environment (basic), I'd come back.

Not sure how this place is still in business. Must be just the tourists trying it for the first and last time. We sat down by the window, noticed spiders crawling up and down seating area not clean. we moved to a different table, and then server says "playing musical chairs" Ordered a sushi roll and pho. Pho tasted more like flavorless chicken noodle soup. Sushi was dry, Rice not fresh. Five minutes into eating, server asks if we are ready to pay. Overall, bad experience Would not recommend.

Best sushi in Sandpoint. Junior is awesome, and only uses the best ingredients. Go to Kyoko!

Really great food! I recommend the John Denver!

The restaurant itself was very authentic. All the ingredients & fish come straight from Japan which was impressive. We each ordered 2 rolls for a sufficient meal which is about average for a sushi restaurant. Our favorites were the Dragon roll and the John Denver. Their rainbow roll was interesting with the caviar on top which was a nice touch. Their liquor license was suspended as the time so we didn't order any drinks, and the staff wasn't the most welcoming but we had an overall decent experience.

Best sushi in town. Every time I come to sandpoint I make a point to stop by and get some sushi.

Great location, excellent sushi, and with an extensive menu including both traditional items and some very creative "fusion" sushi it can be difficult to choose! But choose we did, I had the "Cozumel" topped with fresh sliced jalapeí±os (bottom roll in the photo) and my friend had the "Northwest" roll with a traditional California roll (center) and some Saba Nigiri....everything was delish- we ate every bite! I would definitely go back again.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. The place open at 4 and I called to ask for takeout at 415 but no answer. I called about 3 more times and still no answer. Giving them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they are busy my friend went in and there was a man sitting down and was very rude to her. She asked if she could order and he sat there and said sure. He did not get up to write down what she was ordering he just sat there and stared. He did not seem to care and had the worst customer service she has ever seen. So she told him that we wanted 2 pho soups and we brought them home. We were hoping that the poor customer service and 25 bucks meant the food would be decent but it wasnt. The broth was a dark brown color and tasted awful. The meat was overcooked paper (not being dramatic we are not picky). Not recommended.

Ordered a to go order of ramen. Worse ramen ever !! Disgrace to even call it ramen noodles from Japan. The noodles were mushy and the broth is tasteless.

My husband and I ate here three months ago and are dying to go back! We had an order of noodles, a couple different rolls, and a chef's selection. We were not anticipating much given the location but were very pleased with our experience. The chef brought our dishes to the table and explained everything he had chosen for us. It was to die for! We have since been trying to find a sushi place in Coeur d' Alene that's half as good. Kyoko is the way to do sushi!!!

We saw this place while walking through the building overlooking the water. Description of the rolls and their fresh ingredients sounded promising, so we decided to give it a try. We had a couple of basic rolls and a couple middle of the road rolls, in terms of number of ingredients. All of them were good and tasted like high quality ingredients. Their prices weren't significantly different from most sushi places, though the food quality was higher than average. The chef (owner?) seemed friendly and had created a nice variety of rolls/flavors. The server seemed thoroughly disinterested in her job and was not overly friendly.
