Showed up in a group of 4 with 2 children. Service was slow (understandable considering they were short staffed) They had a child between 13 and 17 running the fuel pumps. Food was average although menu was extremely limited. I would advise paying cash not card. I left them a $10 tip on a $65 bill but apparently it wasn't good enough so they tacked on another $100 to my tip. Manager attempted to refund my meal and correct the price but only added another $75 charge. Long story short I had to contact my bank and dispute the transaction. I got my $75 back from the 2nd charge about 2 week later but was out the $100 that someone tacked onto my original bill. It's unfortunate that a cool spot like the loaf and ladle can be tainted by untrustworthy employee's and careless carefree management. I won't be back even though my summers are spent in the area.

Probably my favorite place to dine on the lake. Friendly staff and full bar. Great food too

Loaf & Ladle is very accommodating! We sponsored a Fun Run on the lake, 7/24, and they were one of our card stops. Our participants couldn’t stop talking about how great the Loaf & Ladle staff was!

Fantastic, friendly staff. Excellent food even under adverse conditions. The location can’t be beat. I hope they’re here for many years.

We had nachos out there last night. Pulled pork special.

Just called for 4th of July weekend to learn that they are doing only cold food. I understood last summer during the pandemic, but we are ready to dine out again! Also, they don't accept reservations. This is a very cool spot on the lake and the staff and location are tops. Fingers crossed that by next summer we have another great choice on the water for lunch or dinner.

Awesome experience as always at Bottle Bay. Got to sip on a cold cocktail while sitting on the lake. The food was awesome! I had the pulled pork, coleslaw, and pasta salad. Sooo delicious! Thanks to all the staff hustling in this crazy heat.

Beautiful view but very long wait time and besides the decent steak fries, the food was terrible and even worse considering how much you’ll pay for it. Bread was hard, meat was flavorless and dry, coleslaw and pasta salads inedible, and the bacon they use is on par with dog food. Really sad considering how great a location it is. Can’t possibly recommend unfortunately.

I enjoyed some birthday drinks + chips, salsa and guacamole. Despite the heat, we had great service and tasty apps. Our server, Aislynn even gave us extra chips. What a great location and place with good people.

We did enjoy our glass of ice water brought by the gal at the cash register but never saw a server until over a half hour later, when we returned our menus. We were so looking forward to a delicious lunch after great experiences in the past! But this lack of service made us think the food may be lacking, as well. Atmosphere was busy, noisy and smoky, too. Oh, well! Won’t be back.

I had the L&L stew and my wife had the L&L burger. They were delicious! I look forward to my next meal here.

The first time we didn’t stay because the wait was too long. However, we noticed that there were three parties eating on the deck with dogs sitting quietly by their tables. We went back another day with our white lab and put our names on the list telling the staff we had a party of five plus one dog. We were promptly seated and greeted with friendly comments about how nice our lab was. As the water was delivered to the table the staff then told us that our dog was not allowed in the deck. I asked the manager why since dogs were on the deck the day before. She explained that when it gets busy she can’t keep track of if dogs are at the tables with guests or not and that her wait staff is young and don’t follow the rules. We promptly left. So if you are looking for a quaint spot to boat to have a bite to eat with your friends, family, and dog... this is not the spot. At least not for white calm labs.In response to the owners response... we were already seated by the staff on the deck after we had put our name on the wait list for a party of five and verbally told the staff that we had a dog as well. They knew we had a dog since they greeted her. We chose not to stay because we were told there were no tables additional tables available to sit at with a dog after we had already waited and were seated. Mistakes happen, we get it. My point is that the rules are inconsistent at this establishment which probably isn’t the fault of young staff but has more to do with the type of training this establishment offers to its employees. My point to this review is that there are many other lunch establishments that boaters can frequent with their pets that are more accommodating and better run. Beet and Basil being just one among many. I hope that other pet owners find this helpful. It’s not always easy to find a place to eat out at that is equipped to accommodate furry friends.

Sat for 35 minutes, was never waited on past being brought a menu and a water. They waited on people who were seated after us. Don’t even bother with it.
