Just returned to town after being moved away for sometime. I really like the food and the beer at this place. Ive been there three times and every single time, Honestly, id say the service sucks but really there is none , you could wait outside for your order to be taken, but you would wait 20+ minutes, which is what I did the first time so it’s best if you walk up to the bar to get your order. We were looking for a pet friendly restaurant while traveling through the area. Oddly, this did not show up on any of the searches I did. We happened to see the lovely outdoor area and decided to check it out. Yup! Pet friendly at the picnic tables! The food was delicious, the beers amazing and the service incredible.
If you’re the owners of Matchwood reading this, PLEASE PLEASE think about going back to the beautiful nature art work you used to have all over the walls. The new stuff is hard to look at while you eat. Especially the maxi pad one. I cant bring myself to take family and friends in there right now. So unfortunate because you have such a wonderful place. I really want to come back there.
