Ate there today food was good as always, however before we were done eating the waitress brought us a box without asking she grabbed my gf’s sandwich and put it the box. She also grabbed my food and the napkin out of my hand again without saying a word. We assume she was new, neither of us have experienced a waitress start grabbing food & other items from the table and surely not items I’m holding still. Hopefully she gets some training and learns to ask people if they’re done before doing this to others. My gf didn’t want the waitress grabbing her food for her without asking.

Been here quite a few times but this is about their unique single setting, 8+ course dinner theme menu nights. Setting is an old general store/ gas station, casual where you can grab a drink from the cooler, sit and enjoy incredible food in a very casual, yet somehow elegant, setting. The theme dinner nights are a must-do for every resident and visitor to the Sandpoint area. If you have the opportunity to do so... do it. 4+ hours at long tables with friends enjoying 8+ courses of ridiculously meticulous gourmet tastes (in our case, Italian night), each uniquely woven by an outstanding chef who introduces each of his creations with pride only to be outdone by the actual taste. We will try to hit every single one of these we can.

The food here is absolutely amazing! We even took leftovers back to our hotel, put in fridge and ate a couple days later. My sandwich was still just as good.

Pack River Store does not disappoint! It’s one of my husband and my favorite places in the Clark Fork area. I’ve tried almost all of the dishes (don’t miss out on the Thai noodle pork dish if it’s a special!) and the Avocado toast at breakfast is probably one of my favorites. I get it with chicken added. However, you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu! It’s situated and a cute little “once upon a time” gas station, with beverages served via coolers. The food comes out pretty quickly, and everyone they are so nice.

Jayden was our server and the service was exceptional! Yes, the prime rib was excellent, and that's from a line cook who worked in multiple restaurants where we served prime rib. I've also been a server in many restaurants, and I know the steps of service. And I'm telling you, the service was on point! The food was great, and the service was phenomenal! It's absolutely worth it! If you're on the fence about eating here, get off the fence and go. You'll thank yourself after.

We came for breakfast and loved it all. Food was delicious and the atmosphere is super cozy and nostalgic. We had great prompt service and they serve delicious Evan’s Brothers coffee. Will definitely be coming back!

Luckily we had a local tour guide (a friend) who is in the food industry and he said we HAD to go here for breakfast! Got some pork belly Bennie which was solid but the pancakes stole the show….and the table. They were huge and delicious. Top 3 pancakes I’ve had. Highly recommend this spot!

Food, service, and atmosphere were perfect! If you're looking for a laid back environment and top scale food, this is your place! The fish tacos were some of the best I've ever had!

I visited the restaurant for breakfast at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025. It was moderately busy, with a few open tables, so it didn’t appear overwhelmed. After realizing it was a seat-yourself situation and that we needed to check in at the store counter, a server arrived within a few minutes to take our order.

Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.

We waited over an hour without receiving any food. During that time, we noticed several larger tables that had arrived after us being served well before. Eventually, we flagged down a server to ask about our order. She responded that she’d check and that it should be out soon. But she passed our table several more times without any update or acknowledgment.

After more than an hour of waiting, we informed the same server that we were leaving. Her response: “Okay.” No apology. No explanation. No effort to salvage the experience.

To add to the frustration, this same server had been sitting and eating with what appeared to be friends or family for nearly as long as we had been waiting. I fully understand that staff need breaks too, but if the kitchen is so backed up that guests are waiting over an hour for basic breakfast items, it’s not a great look to see a staff member leisurely dining in the front of house.

In short, the service was inattentive and dismissive, and the overall experience left us frustrated and hungry. I hope this was an anomaly, but based on this visit, I won’t be returning anytime soon.

We have been wanting to go here for years. Made it there today. We were super excited. Waiting for over an hour. 3 tables that came after us with 6 people at each table were served before us. I had asked the waitress and she said she'd find out what the hold up was. She never got back to us. After the third table was served, I told her we were leaving. She said okay. Never apologized. It was just my husband and I. Super disappointed.

It is definitely a place where you can't be in a rush. It did take a bit for the food to be served but it was well worth it.

Food is underwhelming and overpriced. Service slow and rude and behind the kitchen doors some staff members are barefoot and I mean dirty barefoot. Atmosphere is nice atleast

Hands down one of the best places to eat in all of Idaho. And that's a high bar.

The food itself was good, but the service was greatly disappointing. From the moment we were seated, it took an hour before we received our meal. During that time, we politely asked our server for an estimated wait time, especially after noticing that two other tables who were seated after us received their food well before ours.

After asking about our food, what appeared to be the owner or manager responded in a surprisingly rude manner, informing us that it had only been 28 minutes since our order was placed — which suggests, if anything, that our order wasn’t put in until much later after we ordered. Instead of addressing the delay, she made us feel as though we were being unreasonable for asking. To make matters worse, our water glasses sat empty throughout the entire waiting period.

Just your average breakfast. :))) But, the BEST THING was the SWEET POTATO FRIES! LOVE THEM. Not pictured though
