We have been wanting to go here for years. Made it there today. We were super excited. Waiting for over an hour. 3 tables that came after us with 6 people at each table were served before us. I had asked the waitress and she said she'd find out what the hold up was. She never got back to us. After the third table was served, I told her we were leaving. She said okay. Never apologized. It was just my husband and I. Super disappointed.

Hands down one of the best places to eat in all of Idaho. And that's a high bar.

The food itself was good, but the service was greatly disappointing. From the moment we were seated, it took an hour before we received our meal. During that time, we politely asked our server for an estimated wait time, especially after noticing that two other tables who were seated after us received their food well before ours.

After asking about our food, what appeared to be the owner or manager responded in a surprisingly rude manner, informing us that it had only been 28 minutes since our order was placed — which suggests, if anything, that our order wasn’t put in until much later after we ordered. Instead of addressing the delay, she made us feel as though we were being unreasonable for asking. To make matters worse, our water glasses sat empty throughout the entire waiting period.

Just your average breakfast. :))) But, the BEST THING was the SWEET POTATO FRIES! LOVE THEM. Not pictured though

Fun place to eat breakfast or lunch. It’s a beautiful drive. Food has always been delicious with great service. Today I had a tasty veggy Benedict breakfast

No customers, waited 50 minutes, no updates on why so slow. I burger way over done, 1/4 bowl of chili..which was the special, as the main dish, I asked for the chips it was supposed to come with and got crumbs from the bottom of a bag later, daughter got a chicken special that covered 1/2 of the bun. I live on this street. This used to be a great place, so I expect what it used to be, but more often than not, it's just not. The server sucked, no apologies or why it took so long. I probably won't say it's a great place to anyone again because it's just very inconsistent, and sloppy meals at times, now, portions so small you need to eat when you get home. Don't start a new restaurant when you can't manage the one that made you popular..

Great food, really friendly staff. Great atmosphere for my 1 and 4 year old which can be challenging, but they have high chairs and a menu for kiddos. Had their chicken ciabatta today and it was epic. I've also grabbed local eggs from their fridge in the past which were awesome.

Parking: Plenty of parking in their gravel lot in front of the restaurant.

Kid-friendliness: High chairs, crayons and menu with pictures to color.

10/10 god damn this place is so good. Garlic fries are the best I’ve ever had in this world. Sandwiches are fat. Salads are fresh. The baked goods are amazing and I love how you just grab your own drink. Best dining experience in sandpoint area.

The food was good, the wait was pretty bad, but I don’t blame them because the place was very busy, and they gave us a full refund. Thank you Pack River Store!

We stopped in today for breakfast after finding this on Google after searching for breakfast spots near Sandpoint.

The store is a bit of a drive out of Sandpoint but the scenery is beautiful. There were a lot of people hanging out near the water on the hot day we came but had no trouble finding parking in front of the store.

When we went (July) we had the option of eating inside or out. It was really hot outside but also very hot inside, dark, and smelled like old grease so we opted for outside. (Note: there is one SMALL restroom available to customers and it had a line while we were there.)

One of the employees inside the store handed us menus (you seat yourself) and let us know someone would bring us water but all other drinks are self service and could be purchased in the store.

We chose a table outside in the shade. Most of the tables were taken but all parties had finished eating with their food in to-go containers. A very pleasant server brought us ice water.

About 15-20 minutes after sitting, we got the opportunity to order. The three of us chose a two egg breakfast (over easy) a Denver omelette and pancakes to share. I would guess that the food took at least 30 minutes to get to us. We weren't in a hurry but something worth mentioning.

The eggs arrived cooked hard (nowhere near over easy). The home fries and toast were fine. The omelette was totally stuffed with ingredients and was thoroughly enjoyed. The pancakes, while enormous and smelling deliciously of vanilla, were so burnt we couldn't eat them. We sent those back. The server offered to replace them but after the disappointing eggs and pancakes, we were ready to move on.

Its a neat spot that reminds me of a place you'd discover on a road trip but, sadly, as a local, I don't think we'll be back.
