Was recommended this bar from our cab driver so thought we’d check it out. We’re Canadian and didn’t know it was cash only so when we asked if they took credit card the bartender acted like it was the most ridiculous question ever and treated us poorly even after we hit up the atm. Eventually she warmed up a bit but was mediocre service. Cool atmosphere otherwise though.

Started coming here about 40 years ago every time I come to Sandpoint to visit family which has been every two to three years. This place is a Sandpoint icon and should never be taken for granted 👍🏻👍🏻

This is such a sad review because this place has so much potential on a Friday and Saturday night with karaoke. The female bartender who was working on 12/28 really just chooses to ignore people. This is an issue we have had for years now with this specific bartender. We would spend so much more money here if they had a second, more efficient bartender working as well. Sad how much money they lose out on just having customers be absolutely ignored. I understand it gets busy but the lack of efficiency is extremely frustrating—just want people to do better.

They have been smoking in the Tervan for 100 years. Finally banned in June of 2024. The smell still lingers in the dollar bills hanging on the walls and ceiling.
