Every single time I go here I wish I could eat there every meal. From the moment you walk in to the time you leave you are treated like family which I love. The food is so delicious and a very reasonable price. My new go to is the Shortrib Mac and cheese and every Tuesday we go for ramen. 10/10 recommend this place for any occasion.

We had dinner there on Friday night. We were the only ones at the tables with 1 person at the bar. Afterwards we found out why. The food was less than mediocre at best and my drink was not really what I ordered. We got our bill..$125.00 for 2 meals and 2 drinks. Our server was nice and attentive though, hence the 3 stars..Probably won't be back.

Visiting from British Columbia, we went here for a lazy September afternoon lunch whilst staying over in Sandpoint. My wife spotted this place earlier in the morning, when one of their waiters (Michael) smiled at us as we drove past. Later in the day, Wife was like, ‘I want to go to that street bistro place, I got a really good vibe from it this morning’ – so return we did and we enjoyed a great salad and glass of wine. Our waiter Michael was attentive and his service, recommendations, and friendliness just added extra to our day.

The first couple of times we had dinner and drinks here were fantastic. Great appetizers, delicious cocktails, friendly service and sitting outside watching the tourists walk around downtown. All good things.

We went last week and quickly found out why this was the slowest restaurant in town that evening. Paid $42 for a ribeye steak that was certainly not a ribeye piece of meat. It was tough and chewy, a lesser cut of meat. It took 20 minutes to get a simple cocktail to the table and there was no rush in the restaurant or bar that evening. The server was nice but not terribly attentive. A dishwasher came out to collect our plates when we were finished because she was looking for something to do.

Disappointing. We truly liked this spot for a nice dinner and good atmosphere but we probably won't be going back.

We ordered two salads and an appetizer and took over 1 hour to arrive. the waiter was awesome but there was ONE waiter for an entire patio and indoor dining which was full. A successful restaurant would have realized their own capacity and closed the indoor dining so the waiter and kitchen could keep up. I asked for a discount due to the poor experience and they took off $15 worth of items which I thought they should give at least 50% off the very delayed food that was not that great. I was a server in my past life so get the restaurant business and understand the dilemma but also understand the solution. Keep the restaurant at a manageable capacity! I DO NOT recommend coming here! the prior restaurant/wine bar was the same - over one hour for a cheese plate so wonder if same owner or just a bad luck location!!!

We used to love coming here. The lady that ran it was so sweet and was hands on in running it. However the last couple times have been a disappointment, even though the place is packed and seems trendy. The crowing sadness is the Tuscan chicken. Who puts dry thigh meat on a high end restaurant chicken dish? Also way too much dairy (undocumented in the menu no less), which you should not need to make good flavor. Also, i would have accepted less saffron on the cod for a bigger piece of fish, and less asparagus stem. And, not sure about the batter fried green beans. I wonder if theres new ownership or it just blew up too big for the kitchen help. Bartender is cool though.

As a local I’ve been wanting to try this place for almost a year!
When we arrived we were sat quickly but it took some time to receive service. The menu was wanting with very few options - my party of three was disappointed to see it was an evening meal menu rather than the more casual fare we had seen on the online menu. We went ahead and ordered the grilled apples, 2 Tuscan chicken dishes, and a filet mignon. The server never asked my mom how she wanted her steak cooked. After we had waited for our food he brought out the 2 Tuscan chickens but apologized and said he had forgotten to place the steak order but it would be out shortly. My dad and I tried to eat our meals as slowly as possible but we were still finished by the time my moms steak arrived. So we sat and watched her eat her unfortunately well done $42 steak. The Tuscan chicken reminded of a Pinterest recipe. It sounds so good but that’s the extent of it. It had tons of canned artichoke and a few pieces of chicken - which both my dad and I mistook for mushrooms. We almost complained that they had forgotten our chicken and didn’t realize it was in the dish until the end - the whole time we thought the pieces were mushrooms due to coloring and texture. The grilled apples were more mushy than “grilled” and the potatoes with the steak were over salted and dry.
Overall this might be one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in Sandpoint. Like I’ve said I’ve wanted to try this place for over a year and unfortunately it won’t be making it into the rotation: Bad service and bad food - save your hard earned money and choose almost any other restaurant in Sandpoint ( and you will have a better experience. Sad I wasted one of my parents few nights discovering Sandpoint on such a poor experience!
