I've been eating here all my life. The food is good enough, about what you expect, but it cannot take an hour and a half to get lunch! People have things to do, business's to run. I understand staffing issues, but the lack of training is evident

Oldest operating restaurant in Idaho. Extensive menu. Our group of six opted for burgers and cheese sandwiches and taco soup which turned out to be a version of chilli. Burgers were cooked to well done after we asked for medium rare but were tasty nonetheless. We had fun at the table researching the railroad history of Shoshone, the big boy engines one of which is featured on the wall. Get the fries. They're very good.

If in Shoshone, Idaho in need of food, please go to the Manhattan Cafe. Very clean, good food, and excellent service with a charming historic atmosphere.

We attended on a Saturday night after exploring parts of the Craters of the Moon National Monument. We were returning to Meridian. The entryway is nostalgic with big picture windows. The entire place was shiny and spotless. The walls decorated with historic photos of the town and railway era photos.

My traveling partner and I each had cheeseburgers and with fries for one of us and onion rings for the other but both shared. The food was generous, served hot with very fresh, tasty vegetables. Everything was excellent.

The service sad impeccable. We were checked on frequently with sincerity and warmth.

In the end I couldn't resist warm pecan pie with ice cream.

Very clean, warm charming atmosphere, good food, heartfelt service. Please eat here if in the area and hungry.

We ordered our food, didn’t get straws, food was cold, salad dressing was warm, our drinks went empty and weren’t refilled. We waited almost 30 minutes for our check Once we got our check we went up front and waited 20 minutes to be rung up. After eating we didn’t feel satisfied and quickly began to feel ill. I do not recommend this

We usually stop here on our way out for a ride. Breakfast is always on point! Eggs cooked to order, bacon it amazing, the pancakes are fluffy! It may look like a small place, but stop in and give it a chance! Especially for breakfast! Yum!

Greasing food fever. Tots cooked way too long and tasted left over. My friend ordered chicken sandwich but got patty melt. They did it again, but just put chicken on patty melt bread. She couldn't eat it because of the grease. Honestly worst food I've ever had.

First time to eat at the Manhattan Cafe in Shoshone. We tried homemade chicken noodle soup, turkey sandwich on wheat bread, and a cherry 🍒 malt. All of the food was amazing and it tasted so wonderful. Nice day with a great meal. 🥘

Great little place!! Looked up the best fries in Idaho and this little place was one of the contenders. I got a roast beef Swiss with tots and the hubby got a burger with fries. Both were really good, I’m not sure if they were the best fries, but they were more battered than a typical fry. The tots were amazing, love a good tot. If you’re in the area, definitely stop by. The waitress was so sweet, the menu is good and the area is full of history.

Waitress was a very nice lady. Ok place for a small town. Fries were great, burger was sub par. Like a chunk a corrugated with condiments

Casual and relaxed diner with good food and historical decor.
