Oldest operating restaurant in Idaho. Extensive menu. Our group of six opted for burgers and cheese sandwiches and taco soup which turned out to be a version of chilli. Burgers were cooked to well done after we asked for medium rare but were tasty nonetheless. We had fun at the table researching the railroad history of Shoshone, the big boy engines one of which is featured on the wall. Get the fries. They're very good.
If in Shoshone, Idaho in need of food, please go to the Manhattan Cafe. Very clean, good food, and excellent service with a charming historic atmosphere.
We attended on a Saturday night after exploring parts of the Craters of the Moon National Monument. We were returning to Meridian. The entryway is nostalgic with big picture windows. We usually stop here on our way out for a ride. Breakfast is always on point! Eggs cooked to order, bacon it amazing, the pancakes are fluffy! It may look like a small place, but stop in and give it a chance! Especially for breakfast! Yum!
