I've never really been a huge fan of brisket because it's so easy to get wrong but this place left me amazed! Best food I've ever had in my whole life! I don't know how to describe this incredible experience. Normally with brisket it's really grainy or really chewy and disgusting. I had this and it just melted in my mouth! I would go here every day for the rest of my life! Absolutely zero regrets(UPDATE 2023)So it's been a few years. I now work at a real barbeque place, and trust me, it's GOOD barbeque. Yet somehow, I still find myself craving the barbeque here. Nothing else has ever compared to it. We need more barbeque like this in the world.
This place is awesome, there's great food on the menu but the specials are the best part!
This isn't exactly a restaurant, it is a section located inside of the trading post. The BBQ was pretty good, super mild, not much of a smoky flavor, sauces were flavorful. Main drag was our sandwhiches were not toasted and were pretty soggy. I enjoyed the mac n cheese. The strangest thing is the ambience. It is mainly a store, and there was zero music and zero other customers when we went. It felt a little uncomfortable is all. They do have a good selection of BBQ sauces in the store.
Only a 2 minute drive from Soda Springs geyser. I had the pulled pork baked potato with the original bbq sauce. It was so good!! The restaurant is located inside of the home depot/gun store and has some seating. Friendly employees!
Dietary restrictions: Baked potato is gluten free
We always love coming here the food is always wonderful always love shopping for the little things sometimes you can't find and great customer service and wonderful food and atmosphere
Amazing BBQ & an awesome BBQ supply store! Whenever I’m in Soda Springs, I stop in to eat & the buy some type of new BBQ seasoning! I plan on saving my money & buying a Traeger Smoker someday from here! ??
They have excellent ? food ? and would definitely recommend them to 3 of my closest friends. C
We got pork chicken chili and Cole slaw. Was amazing. The meat was great well seasoned smoked in house but the chili was the star. Family owned and operated. Great food great people. If I had my truck I would've bought a bbq!
Kid-friendliness: Great food kind of a BBQ hardware store, the owners daughter let me sample the chili
Parking: Good sized lot for many vehicles
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps up to the store. Parking right up front
This is the only BBQ restaurant I have visited that is in a working hardware/outdoor store. It is NOT a full menu BBQ restaurant, as they have a few sandwiches (pulled pork, brisket and chicken), sides (potatoe salad, mac & cheese, baked beans, coleslaw) and drinks. It is more like a lunch counter for locals and visitors, with 8 -10 tables. That being said the sandwiches and sides were good. They smoke their own meat daily, SO they do run out of items (meat and sides)on a regular basis. We were there about 5pm and they were out of several items. The service was abysmally slow, with the usual COVID/no staff excuse. If you have the time to wait the food is good, but if you have a large group or short on time go elsewhere. The store was fun, with a lot of interesting things to look at and buy.
Parking: The parking lot out front is good for regular cars and pick up trucks. It is not big enough for most trailers and RVs, BUT a city park is just across the street and you usually could park larger rigs there, walk across for your food and eat in the park if you wanted.
For what it’s worth not a great place due to the experience I had today. We were excited since it’s a local bbq place in town but what a disappointment. We got dry food and for the price definitely not worth it. First timer here and I don’t think I’ll be back. Need better food. Definitely need a refund!

The most delicious food Is served here. It’s quick but it’s REAL food & the prices are great! The baked potatoes are the best I’ve ever eaten, the Brisket, the Jacked Mac, green salads with real lettuce & veggies… Highly recommend
I give this 3 stars based more on the store and the staff. We'd read many wonderful reviews about the BBQ and mac & cheese. First of all, don't be in a hurry. It took about 15 minutes to place our order...and we were 2nd in line. No worries...there's plenty to look at in the store. And the gals behind the counter were friendly and fun. Unfortunately, the food was not good. They shouldn't call the brisket sandwich a Philly cheesesteak. It bears NO resemblance. The mac & cheese was like soup. The server made some comment that it hadn't "set" yet. I don't know if we hit it on a bad day...but that was the worst mac & cheese I've ever had in my life. The baked beans and coleslaw were the only saving grace. My favorite thing about this place is the store! It was an adventure to wander around. You could buy anything from a bar of soap to a bicycle. They have a huge selection of BBQ items. I'm glad we visited, but I will never eat there again.
Caribou Jacks has great service and is always super helpful. Everything on the menu is great. I definitely recommend!
Excellent food, awesome store to find anything you need and the employees and owner are great people!
Fantastic meal, well priced. Service was friendly and prompt and my wife and I ordered the brisket and baked potato. Potato was cooked well and brisket was tender and flavourful. The home run hit was a house-made Raspberry-Chipotle BBQ sauce - it paired really well with the meat.
